Got my shipped notice for my 64 GB Gold AT&T around midnight CDT. My little sister's 16 GB Gold also changed to shipped around that time. The email for mine from Apple did not specify a delivery date. At first, the shipping showed UPS Saver but it later updated to show UPS World Express Saver. It also now has a delivery date of Wednesday, end of day.
Last activity was the 5:30 PM departure scan.
ETA: http://www.packagemapping.com/ shows that my package is flying over Kentucky right now, about to land in Louisville. I'm in Dallas so that means its pretty close to me now!

Ordered Verizon 64gb Silver on 12:14am. Paid expedite shipping. UPS estimated delivery is EOD Thursday 9/26 to Los Angeles. Seems like a lot of you who didn't select expedite shipping will get it even sooner. Time to contact Apple to get the $10 refund.
Well I woke up to an email at 6:44 EST saying mines been shipped. Estimated delivery on east coast is the 25th according to ups so I'm definitely not first batch. My moms 32 gob gold verizon hasn't shipped. This seems to be a trend, although it would have sure annoyed me! Good luck y'all.
I'm really starting to get worried! My VZW 32gb gold is still "preparing for shipment" Anne my order confirmation was :02. It also went to this status about the same time as everyone else's who has already shipped. I also paid the extra $10 for expedited shipping. Bummed.
It wouldn't be a credit card issue at this stage, would it? I mean, if it is prepared for shipping, it should already have cleared payment, right? The reason I ask is because there have been times in the past where the automatic fraud detection had delayed a payment without even a notification....
If mine doesn't ship today, I probably won't even get it this week.
I am in the exact same boat as well. I got my confirmation email at 12:05am pst for vow 32 gb gold and it went into 'Preparing for Shipment' late Saturday night and hasn't changed at all. Shipping to VA Beach, VA

I'll be calling Apple to ask them why I'm being treated as a second class citizen to those people that had their phones shipped yesterday

Apple just announced 9 million iPhones were sold over the weekend! So please, stop complaining if your particular phone is only arriving three days ahead of the originally promised delivery date instead of four!

So basically if one pre-signs , the ups guy can just say he delivered and keep the phone (steal) ?... Can one pre-sign for someone else to wait for the phone and have some sort of confirmation it was left with someone ...
Damn, you have little trust. I doubt a UPS guy would keep something that's been scanned into his possession by the hub. There are some places like apartment buildings, where leaving something on the front door mat is a bad idea. You must be the judge of your location.

Mine is the same and I don't believe Tuesday at all. I think we will see the dates change once we are through customs. For Tuesday to be possible, it has to be on a local truck by this time tomorrow.
He was coming up today, I told him I was not sure which day it would show.... Glad he didn't surprise me...
Can you post a screenshot of the UPS tracking so we can see what steps it went through getting out of China? Seems like you may be one of the first ones out.
You will be surprise what a ups guy has done , I work in the city wealthy area , we seen several ups guys in handcuffs and yes for stealing ... Sometimes the needs of some are much greater...risking work ..
