While I didn't read all the freak-out posts, I have the opposite opinion. I find it pretty damn incredible that my phone, currently in Korea, will be in my hot little hands in little over 24 hours.

I touched a few digital buttons on my phone in the middle of the night on Friday and a shiny new phone will be at my house, coming from China, a mere 5 days later, that ain't bad.

PS - Shipping was free, what a country!

Finally got shipment notification early this AM eastern time.

UPS says by Wednesday the 25th.

Gold 16g AT&T Confirmation at 3:07 from apple.com

I'm on the same shipment... Thanks for the useful information!

I thought that too. But according to Google...that flight is already 30 minutes late taking off. It's manifested at 10:12 but its already 10:45 there.

Edit: Its now away...so unless they scanned after transferring them no way they made it. That flight was late taking off though.

Holy cow dude. Take your own advice. I'm perfectly chill. I posted a joke. Where in my post did I even come close to being like those guys who said they aregoing to call customer service and raise hell or anything like that?

Your post showed no sign of being a joke for the record. Just observing this convo.

However, we were scanned at 7:40 PM local time and that just showed up a few minutes ago, so there is definately a delay in UPS updating the tracking.

At this point who knows...

It is looking unlikely that my phone will be here Tuesday. I would think that the major unknown here would be customs. I'm assuming this is different somehow than my normal orders from overseas but customs can take days to get through. Again I'm assuming this is not the case.

Either way that flight shows it will arrive in AK at approximately 4:48 PM EST which means they'd have approximately 12 hours to unload, get through customs, load the next plane (unless it's staying on the same one), fly to Louisville, and finally fly to my local hub.

Tuesday or Wednesday and I'll still be happy

Customs is probably pre-cleared for a shipment like this. Apple will have pre-certified the cargo and UPS will obtain the certificate while it is in the air.

Really? I didn't think I needed a roll eyes or smiley face. Figured no one would be stupid enough to think I literally thought apple would be holding back shipments for some crazy reason. I guess I was wrong.

AFAIK, customs is done in Louisville for international shipments; Anchorage is more of a refueling stop since it's too far from China to Louisville direct - at least that is what has happened in past years on iPhone shipments.

Not to mention Apple has surely pre-cleared these.

Usually putting "..." afterwards doesn't help. That usually means frustration or like "really?" Anyways, whatever.

I'm sure that pretty much every single phone will arrive on the date that UPS says it will. Don't worry about Apples estimate, customs, etc, etc...

That also works both ways. I doubt many phones will arrive earlier than the date UPS has for you.

UPS flies them from ZhengZhou to Incheon. Next to Anchorage. UPS 99 just left Incheon so Tuesday deliveries are good.

This is one route they take. Last year many also flew though Hong Kong. Others went through Shanghai before Incheon.
