I am in the exact same boat as well. I got my confirmation email at 12:05am pst for vow 32 gb gold and it went into 'Preparing for Shipment' late Saturday night and hasn't changed at all. Shipping to VA Beach, VA

Also ordered a 32 gold and haven't received shipping confirmation yet. It still says preparing for shipment. My case went to "shipped" status on Saturday, but it doesn't look like it's shipped either according to the FedEx tracking number. Shipping to NJ.

Please remember ZengZhou is UPS' intra-asia hub from which connections are made at either Shenzen, Shanghai or Hong Kong. The ZengZhou > Hong Kong > US route is most preferred due to speed and the timing of flights is consistent with the scans we've been seeing. This is relatively new (I think phones all left put of Shenzen directly last year) as it saves UPS time, fuel, etc.

It is not clear once in cargo bins if they all get rescanned when in transit vs just original point of departure and arrival. I suspect in about 9 hours we'll start seeing the US / Alaska scans. and then Tuesday we see all the intra-US / Louisville scans.

Mine has been "preparing for shipment" for two days now. I wonder if preparin
for shipment is just another way of saying stalling...

Yes... that's exactly what it means. Right this minute, there's a handful of Foxconn employees in ZhengZhou looking at this thread and cackling maniacally at your post. They're even holding your iPhone 5s in their hands... putting their fingerptints on it. Sitting on it. Jailbreaking it, so they can play SMTH with it. Maybe even licking it.

Relax. No one is stalling. Apple is trying to stuff 9 million of these devices into as many planes as they can to head to their rightful owners as quickly as they can. There just aren't enough planes, and not enough runways at airports to do them all at the exact same time. But it will ship, and it will get here, on or before the promised delivery date. Just chill.

I'm on the east coast and my 16gb AT&T silver is coming wednesday the 25th.

Just checked mine this morning when the dates updated and looks like it is coming in Wed as well.

Soon. I'm guessing wednesday like UPS says. Highly doubt tomorrow unless our phones are able to travel 20+ hours, and go through customs in lightning speed. Wednesday seems very likely.

In reality though you all need to be a bit more patient, keep in mind, last time Apple rushed like this Phones starting arriving at peoples houses before the glue that kept the screen on was completely dried.

Holy cow dude. Take your own advice. I'm perfectly chill. I posted a joke. Where in my post did I even come close to being like those guys who said they aregoing to call customer service and raise hell or anything like that?

Mine is the same and I don't believe Tuesday at all. I think we will see the dates change once we are through customs. For Tuesday to be possible, it has to be on a local truck by this time tomorrow.

I'm on there too. It has happened in the past. And as someone pointed out, you can currently book a guaranteed overnight package from ZhengZhou to the East Coast on UPS's site. So its possible...

----------

Apple just announced 9 million iPhones were sold over the weekend! So please, stop complaining if your particular phone is only arriving three days ahead of the originally promised delivery date instead of four!

Apple's logistics are incredible!

Crazy. They only sold 5.1 million iPhone 5s in the first TWO MONTHS.

Makes sense. That would mean our phones are on one of these flights:

Nope, phones definitely let from both Honk Kong and through Shanghai via Incheon.

Wow Apple, you really freaking suck. Not only are we definitely getting it later than other people (people that shipped yesterday), it still hasn't ******** shipped.

Cancelling online order.

Troll much?

----------

Just shipped out now. 32 GB Silver T-Mobile. What the hell.

I'll be calling Apple to ask them why I'm being treated as a second class citizen to those people that had their phones shipped yesterday

Wow, I'm sure apple is waiting anxiously for your call! Troll much?

Just arrived in Incheon direct from ZhengZhou!

Interestingly, it looks like this may have been on a contract flight...not a UPS one.

Does anyone know what all the UPS reference numbers mean?
Packagemapping.com shows eight different ones.

One of them is my phone number (my home phone number -- not the iPhone phone number).
One of them is my Apple order number, minus the last two digits.
But the remaining six have just got me curious.
