On its way to the east coast :)

Interesting, like the inbound leg they are exceeding their planned speed. Wonder again if it's winds or a little extra throttle.

As of now flightaware estimates them to land "on time", ie within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival.

So my tracking information currently shows: Anchorage, AK, United States 09/24/2013 3:15 P.M. In Transit.
Anybody know if there is any chance I might receive it tomorrow instead of Thursday for an Orange County Delivery?

Well, from what I remember of previous years, the plane lands in Louisville around 1-2 am Eastern time, phones get sorted onto flights to various parts of the country, many of them fly out in the wee hours of the morning, like 3-5 am Eastern. I'm in NYC, so my phone flies to Newark, getting there around 7-9 am, and gets sorted onto delivery trucks in time to get delivered to me by the end of the day. Not sure what happens if you are not in a major metropolitan area, though. Maybe it'll take until Thursday.

(Oh, and my phone is also on the flight currently on way from Alaska to Louisville, just got a departure scan at Alaska.)

Awesome thanks for the info. I live near boston but not a big city so I should be good,...hopefully

check the ups site I read something about apple alert. Its under contact us... Something about pre-signing or picking it up at will call

I doubt it. Looks like a lot of SoCal folks are getting theirs on Thursday. I'm assuming you're in Irvine.

BTW, just for fun, our plane is current 29,400 ft up, traveling at 621 MPH. It has 2560 miles left until landing.

Ok. I'm done.

Lets just hope my phone doesn't get stuck in traffic coming from newark to westchester. I think I would be the crazy person stopping all UPS trucks on the GWB if that were the case.

Yep i'm in LA and i don't see it coming that early, but that's okay, better than friday or next monday!

I was just @ Westchester Medical Center visiting my father, out of surgery. I'm from bergen in NJ though.

If you can get a good tail win your ground will be pretty good, flight trackers show ground speed and not airspeed. Only way to know air speed is from the aircraft data and that is not published. Also the data that tracking pages get is not the most accurate and does lag/have issues sometimes. But still good information none the less.

Don't do that, you'll stop Santa from visiting all his good boys & girls!

Small world! I'm always in NJ. More Newark and Belleville for family though. Will be there on sunday most likely. And WMC is a great hospital, very friendly staff and doctors. Was there a few years ago. Hope your father is doing well.

But sometimes the naughty kids win right? In all seriousness, I'm more excited for tomorrow than christmas. And I'm the type of person that on december 26, I already have my list for the next year.

Alright we're good. UPS99 is at cruising altitude with a stiff 70 knot tailwind. I checked logs from earlier and it has been pretty smooth with just a small about of choppy air over the Dakotas. In other words, I expect an uneventful flight with a slightly early arrival.

Weather expected to be fine in Louisville at landing but some rain comes in a 4am. I do not expect it to cause any material delays as the cargo should all be loaded by then.

UPS driver pulled up to my house just as I was getting home from work!

Ordered 2:02 central confirmation email at 2:03. 32g silver AT&T 5s. Had to go run 6 miles and now backing up my 4s. Pretty happy at how quick everything went after seeing my brother and buddy get theirs on Friday and thinking maybe attempting to get it then would've been better.
