I just noticed this little mark on my screen, it wasn't there before so I have no idea what it is. It has been taken care of well and today it was in a Maroo case so I don't think I have scratched it. It's really noticeable on web pages and anything else with a bright background. My iPad also had a scratch on the silver border/bezel which was minor and I opted to ignore, any problems with the screen are a nono though...

I don't like to think I'm too picky but this has definitely gotta go back, kinda annoying because everything else is perfect. (aside from the bezel scratch)

If you don't have severe problem with backlight bleeds and uneven tints, I would suggest you keep it. If you return it, you will run into great risk getting the worse pad... rainbow tints, color shifts, dims, and backlight bleeds. You are playing the dangerous game.

So you get a little booger on your screen and you want to return it? It's nothing. Over time you'll have more than that. Some people have OCD issues.

Damn right! Give the guy a break. You spend $500+ on a gadget, you expect it to be flawless - there's obviously a mark there, regardless of how it happened, once you've noticed it then it's an issue.

Take it back and get a new one. Let's just hope it's not worse

Yeah, unless you did it yourself in which case Apple has no obligation or reason to replace it.

If I had OCD the scratch it came with on the bezel would have been enough for me to take it back.

The fact is, I did not cause the problem with the screen and it was noticeable during normal use, whenever I was on a bright screen such as Instapaper or many websites it was easy for me to notice in the corner of my eye. So yes I returned it. Apple themselves told me I shouldn't have to put up with that so they are going directly against what some of you guys are saying.
