Has anyone installed this update when the Safari 3 beta was previously installed on 10.4.10? Any issues there?

For some reason I have some vague recollection of a few people having issues a while ago due to upgrading something that expected Safari 2.x, not the 3 beta. Wouldn't surprise me if Apple didn't test this situation, and in that case, who knows if there'd be issues or not.

Maybe I'll just run the beta uninstaller first to be safe... ;)

I had no problem at all and was running safari 3 beta in 10.4.10 (and it was crashing frequently so I'm really glad they finally released this)

so I seem to be one of the few whose computer was borked by this update: downloaded the update, got a message that it failed, had to restart, and now just a grey screen with a spinning progress wheel.

I tried booting from disk and repairing the disk as well using disk utility to no avail. I also tried booting in safe mode as suggested here and get the same hangup as previously mentioned.

I'm running a 2.4 GHz MacBook pro. I'd rather not have to reinstall the OS.....any suggestions?

Lucky you guys! Ever since I updated to 10.4.11, it has been nothing BUT problems with wireless. The signal is all over the place, and it's already blanked out 6 times in the past hour. Pretty frustrating. I didn't have any of these problems with any previous versions, aarrrgggg

Every other Tiger update has changed my airport card connectivity - luckily for me, its the odds that make it work well. I remember people saying the .10 fixed all their problems and and others saying it caused all of their problems. Seems like its going to happen again - did Apple install two different kinds of airport cards over the last year?

So this is it for tiger. Has to be a good OS if it goes all the way up to 11. :)

I''ve upgraded to Leopard, but I still occasionally use Tiger from a USB External Disk. If I boot into Tiger on my external USB disk, will I have any problems installing the 10.4.11 update?

the update is awesome! I had been having a lot of problems getting a wireless internet connection from my wireless router (so I has been mooching off of someone else's real weak signal), but now I have it all throughout my house from my own internet!

Interesting. Mine still works OK.

I get random Safari crashes but can't reproduce anything. Everything else seems to work fine. Haven't noticed any of this 'Snappiness' everyone is talking about.

My weather widget has also stopped working. Any ideas? No safari crashes so far.

This is great, but where are the Mac OS X Server 10.4.11 updates??

I wanna use the new 10.5 server management apps on my Leopard client computer already!! :(

Um, what's stopping you?

That's good! Even though all my Macs are Leopardized, getting Safari 3 to Tiger is very nice.

I need 10.4.11 on the Xserve so bad... since you cannot manage the Xserve (10.4.10) under Leopard.

You can't? I better stop doing it then.

Lots of good news there, BUT, I was really hoping for another set of video drivers for my aluminum iMac's HD2600 Pro.:(

BTW, haven't I been using Safari 3.0 for months? I'm sure I downloaded and installed it weeks ago.

Rich  :apple:
