Once again, did you upgrade your computer to Leopard or did it come with it?
I may have found a pattern here, although of course this problem is not major.
Came with it, but it doesn't matter now since a second restart fixed the issue.

Ahh, the helpfulness of the altruistic Mac community is always a sight to behold. I'll just go and write on the blackboard now: "I can't have computer issues, because I'm on a Mac" 20 times.Anubus, all I can say is you probably broke something yourself. Fooling with terminal, installing 3rd party crap, etc. No one else has your issue from what I've read. So, depicting your problem as fact to switchers is lying.
Wow !Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. Did you check the side effects info on your meds bottle ?

Okay man whatever you want to say I guess. You think your a smart guy by smiling and scoffing a bit and coming up with a "snappy" response? Go enjoy your Windows machines. Well I say, a Windows user who claims to know Macs is a sight to behold. Enjoy.Ahh, the helpfulness of the altruistic Mac community is always a sight to behold. Ahh, ok.
If your computer has serious probs after the update like it wont boot then post if Leopard came with it or if your updated, because many people I asked (mates and people from another forum) had the problems when their computers were updated to Leopard. If this is correct then perhaps we can dig a little deeper or advise people not to do updates it they have Leopard upgraded from Tiger or whatever...
No, I'm asking for troubleshooting suggestions. What do you think I'm posting from if the Mac is dead?Go enjoy your Windows machines.

My Mac Mini downloaded 198 MB and a single reboot would suffice. The iMac wanted 420 MB for some reason, rebooted twice just like yours, but now refuses to let me log in.My Jan 08 SR Macbook 2.2ghz got the 420MB update FWIW.
It installed fine, doing 2 reboots. I was worried because the first reboot never completely finished, so to speak. I got the Apple symbol with the spinning circle line thingie and then it chimed and restarted again.
Not getting it as an option - I am seeing Yahoo and Exchange, however. Do you have Spanning Sync installed? Anyone else on a PPC system see this?
didn't see a response to my question yet so wanted to ask one more time - did anyone experience the problem of coverflow freezing their entire system (forcing a hard restart)?? Specifically, it would occur simply while browsing/scrolling coverflow using the mouse.
If so, did 10.5.3 fix that problem?
D/L this update at 420 MB. Not sure why so large as I keep my iMac up to date, but no biggie!
It took me about 20 min with 3 Mbs dsl to D/L and another 5 - 8 min approximately to install. 2 reboots and poof all is fine.
This was on a first generation intel iMac. I just Love this iMac. Every time I have ran anything Apple has updated I have not had one problem! That's been near 3 years now! --))) Do that with windoz!
WTG Apple!![]()
PS Will do my Macbook tomorrow!
I don't have the "Google" option either on my SR MacBook with 10.5.3 (420Mo).
Although I do have the new "Google Sync" icon in /System/Library/....
I encountered this problem last time (only once though).. There was a problem with graphic driver... Since Apple has already fixed it, I don't think it will happen again (hopefully)![]()

Updated Macbook! Went Great! I read postings about their macbook fans running like crazy! really odd as mine never even came on and the update was the same size as my iMac 420Mb. Runs like a dream. Thanks again Apple!![]()
