I feel the same way. Side by side this thing is way bigger than my 11PM. Yikes! I'm not sure what to do!
I’m in the same boat! It’s not much bigger on paper but in practice it’s a considerable difference. I’ve upgraded to every new iPhone since iPhone 4, including a 7 Plus, XS Max, and 11 Pro Max, and this is the first time I’m having second thoughts. My 11 PM just feels so much nicer to hold and use. Hmmmmm.

I sold my 11PM already or I would keep it. Once I put the 12PM in the case I literally couldn't tell the difference. Oh well. I'm sure I'll do the same next year as well. LOL!

I upgraded from an 8Plus and I can’t really tell honestly. The power button is further down, so I guess it’s more accessible, and there’s a lot more screen, but it feels about the same in terms of how I use it.

My Max will be going back. I have had plus sized iPhones in the past (6+ and 6S+). So I know I can handle the big iPhone. But I went back down to the regular size iPhone starting with the 7 because I realized I didn’t enjoy having the bigger phone. The better battery and camera just wasn’t worth it. The 12 PM seemed like it might have such a better camera that it would be worth having a big phone again. But, my test pictures today line up with what I saw in reviews: the camera is a little better than my 11 Pro. But, it’s not night and day better and certainly not enough to make me want to deal with a large phone again. So, it’s going back.

Now I have to decide if the 12 Pro is enough of an upgrade over my 11 Pro to justify an upgrade. Probably not but I did really like the flat sides on the Max. Must resist!

Hi, just got My 12 pro max.. And holy Mother of huge god this is HUGE. Haha. I am really in chok. It is and it feels huge. Like an mini iPad..

What do you other say, Who got it in hands.
I got mine and I love it! I’m using a ultra thin case and a screen protector. It’s like a surfboard of apple goodness.

anyone know why 5g doesn’t show up as an option?

After two hours, I'm on the fence as well.
Wanted the best battery life but man, this phone is something else.
Question is if I should go back to the 11 pro with the crummy radio or wait out for a 12 pro to come back in stock.

I’m coming from an 11 Pro Max and picked up my 12 Pro Max today. I did notice that it is bigger compared to the 11 Pro Max when I unboxed it but I LOVE IT!!! Omg, this phone is, by far, amazing! It’s in the process of restoring my data/apps and I can‘t wait to actually play with it!

Welp, yup, it feels really, really big. The tactile illusion is real. It feels and looks quite a bit thicker than my XS Max. The camera module doesn’t help either - I mean, wow. It’s like a weapon. Jon Gruber’s review is probably the most spot on in terms of the look and feel of this thing. Having said all that - I’ll use it for a while and see what I think in a few days. Haven’t really been able to test out the camera yet, so that’ll factor in. Though I’m a little afraid when I point and shoot it’ll blow up a small planet.

As far as the color - not sure how I feel about graphite, looks more like the dark green from last year than the space greys of yore.

Its certainly more slippery than the XSM - that frosted glass is going to be dangerous.

Oh and it certainly feels heavy.

I sent a 12 Pro back because I didn’t like the smaller screen (compared to my XSM), so if I don’t adjust to this I’ll won’t be upgrading this year... or the next year, given the likely repeat of form factors. Ah well.

I went back and forth between the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max and I‘ve finally settled on the 12PM.

It’s similar in size to the 11PM but feels bigger and heavier. Probably because of the squared off edges.

But I‘m willing to sacrifice a bit of portability for the bigger screen and longer battery life. The 12P just died too quickly for my usage.

I went from an 11 Pro to the 12 and I honestly should have stayed with the former. The 11 Pro is such an nice device and the battery life will be missed. It feels better in the hand as well.
