I had some occasional stutters, and no screen protector whatsoever. However, I just realized I haven't seen a stutter in several days. Knock on wood.
It’s purely software. A screen protector makes no difference.

I understand that, but someone in an earlier post (that I quoted) had asked if anyone not using a screen protector was having the stutter issue. I simply responded in the affirmative. It’s purely software. A screen protector makes no difference.
This is the sad part - the fix is still not here and its their flagship product. :/It’s purely software. A screen protector makes no difference.
Good luck. Had the 12 pro that stuttered all the time. Returned it for the max and no stutter for a week. Then it started again. Wish we knew the culprit.I returned my 12 Pro Max for a 12 mini. Much happier now. Got $400 back and have a phone with no stutter.

Anyone can confirm battery drain fix it !!
Its clearly a software issue. I just wonder what the culprit is? Maybe some app.I don’t have this problem on my 12 PM. Very sensitive to visual stutters, so I would notice if it happens.
I did set up my phone as new, didn’t restore, if that matters. And I do tend to swipe away apps from the task switcher if I don’t plan to use them again any time soon.
