It’s purely software. A screen protector makes no difference.
I understand that, but someone in an earlier post (that I quoted) had asked if anyone not using a screen protector was having the stutter issue. I simply responded in the affirmative.

Yes its getting old. Its clearly software with the animation. I don't know why they can't fix it.

I returned my 12 Pro Max for a 12 mini. Much happier now. Got $400 back and have a phone with no stutter.
Good luck. Had the 12 pro that stuttered all the time. Returned it for the max and no stutter for a week. Then it started again. Wish we knew the culprit.

Today I have had no stutter at all. Only thing I did differently is went into the office and didn't wear my apple watch. Doubt it's related but you never know.

Apple just releases another RC build for beta 14.3 so I'll give that a try although I doubt that will fix it. Side note: I haven't had that annoying lag with the keyboard so that's a positive. Didn't even realize at first but I've been without it since the first 14.3 beta.

Just happened to stumble upon this thread and I've had the same since I got mine. Seems some apps hesitate to close for a fraction of a second. Doesn't bother me. I think the speed difference comparing to my previous phone is so abysmal that this is just a drop in the ocean. But hopefully they'll fix it sometime.

I don’t have this problem on my 12 PM. Very sensitive to visual stutters, so I would notice if it happens.

I did set up my phone as new, didn’t restore, if that matters. And I do tend to swipe away apps from the task switcher if I don’t plan to use them again any time soon.

Its clearly a software issue. I just wonder what the culprit is? Maybe some app.

For anyone that was having this issue before, did you do a clean wipe without restoring from backup and setting it up as a new phone? Did that fix the issue?
