It won't help. I had to DFU restore my 12 Pro yesterday due to an SMS messaging issue. Setup as new, no restore from backup. Stutter is still there sporadically. Is a DFU restore of iOS 14.3 worth it? Would it help any?
Doesn't seem like this is about quitting apps, as it's simply about leaving an app. This thread is funny.
1. Quitting apps is not something Apple recommends.
2. The hiccup is barely noticeable and doesn't mean anything- the app is still closing.
3. The motion animations are just eye candy anyway
Everyone is correct. It's 100% software related. I just wanted to go through the process of elimination. Was great for 16 hrs then randomly popped up out of nowhere. Guess we just have to sit and wait for Apple to finally figure it out. Please let us know how the hardware replacement goes.

A Tim Cook no le debe estar pasando esto... Ya lo hubieran arreglado...![]()
It’s not the visual issue. It’s the fact that the phone does something I don’t intend it to. When I swipe to go home, very often it will launch the app switcher instead. That gets frustrating when it happens multiple times a day. I wouldn’t care as much otherwise. This thread reminds me of the home button delay issue a few years back... I’m glad I’ve grown since then! It’s crazy how something so minor can drive people nuts! (myself included)
I use reduce motion so I’d never see this stutter to begin with. I’m still going strong on my iPhone 7 with the home button delay and I got over it. You guys can get over this little stutter too. You can!
That sounds like something that's somewhat different. It’s not the visual issue. It’s the fact that the phone does something I don’t intend it to. xavier_nyc is experiencing the same issue. He posted about it here and here in this thread. That sounds like something that's somewhat different.
It's certainly possible that some other issues have been posted about, but the main/initial issue that is mostly being discussed and commented on is somewhat different.
Maybe. But they could also be related. It's certainly possible that some other issues have been posted about, but the main/initial issue that is mostly being discussed and commented on is somewhat
I had this issue with my iPhone XS Max (from iOS 12 to iOS 14.3) and the issue never fixed in this 2 years. So yesterday I bought iPhone 12 Pro Max and unfortunately the issue presented in this new phone too. I geuss something is wrong with one app. Let’s share the name of apps to each other.
