12 Pro Max 14.4 less than a day, same as 14.3 — stutter (with occasional opening of the multitasking).
Since my issue ticket in feedbackassistant.apple.com still open — it's pretty obvious, that this thing not fixed.

This is at least encouraging - looks like there are many similar submissions of the bug that have been categorised as the same, so hopefully Apple are at least aware of it.

Yes, it is not sovle. I feel worse than before, when I close the program, the multitasking screen appears a lot more

It's an odd problem. On my 12 PM, I only occasionally see the slight stutter as in the example video on the 1st page of this thread but I have never seen the close with multitasking popping up. On 14.4, I haven't seen the stutter yet after quite a bit of use.

I’m optimistic and hopeful but I doubt anything will happen.
i haven’t had an iPhone since ip4. Long ass time. Finally decided to switch cause I’ve had enough of Android as well as wanted something simple and restrictive. Tired of making everything fly on the Lock Screen in androids. Yet one thing I was sure I was switching to was an amazing fluid experience with superb app optimization on iOS or so I thought. Little did I know...

From threads like this to some
Youtubers mentioning the stutter, to threads on apple site I’m sure apple knows about this and knew for a while. I don’t think the problem is simple to fix. May be it has to do with the iOS or every persons app not being optimized for so many phones.
I gotta think they are ignoring it. It has been on older phones as well from what I hear.

ps im not sure if I mentioned this but I’ve made a friend and funny enough she has new ip12 pro. So I thought why not? I asked her if she has stutters. She tells me everyday. Lol. Yet like many people she has no idea about this forum or even cares. There are many people that just use the phone and have this problem. They just don’t care.

Lmao. Im on the floor. Way to stay optimistic. You jinx everything.

I’m not going for new version until my stutter comes back haha.
I installed the release candidate which is the same well before the public release and got the stutters after a day. Its not fixed but can take time after an update for reboot to show up. I dont think Apple has a clue on how to fix it or cares. Hang in there it will come back.

Hans this been fixed for you for awhile now?
I have no clue what on earth is happening with mine.
had them. Then they left. Had them again now five days without a stutter. Go figure.

I think I installed over five apps due to my Alexa and led lighting I have installed around the house. And that’s where I noticed stutter came back. Then I deleted few of those apps as I had no need for them but many still on my phone. May be somehow the ones I deleted cause the stutter and luckily I had no need for them so the stutter went away when I deleted those. Too much of a coincidence tho.

I think it’s only been happening since iOS 14, so there’s hope still I reckon.

No, it happened for me during the entire lifespan of iOS 13 on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. iOS 13 introduced RunningBoard, which is a new subsystem on iOS and macOS that is deeply involved with app management.

Whenever you get that stutter on the home gesture, the system console displays several RunningBoard errors. I've submitted this information to Apple with no response.

My report shows "more than 10" similar reports. I'm wondering if that is shown for any number greater than 10? Meaning, if there were over 1,000 similar reports, would it still just show "more than 10" to the public so we don't know how severe the issue really is.

Yep, this is why I tend to believe, that this issue occurs to everyone (in various ammount, of cause), but a lot of people (un)intentionally just ignore this.
Heck, even I now just do a second swipe when multitasking appears without my intention and not point my mind on it. It's like a first screen scratch, your eye is «catching» it when you first seen it, but after some time it's not bother you at all.

But I really want to see this fixed. 12 Pro Max is my first iOS device after whole life with Android (and J2ME before it) and I stiil love that new experience.

Agreed. In the same boat. Love the iOS experience although it isn’t much in comparison to android but isn’t much is exactly what I want. Even tho for now stutter is gone I keep waiting for it to show up and that takes away from a good experience.

I’ve just talked to Apple Support describing this issue for my iPhone 12 Pro under iOS 14.4 and the operator confirmed Apple developers are working on it. It means there’s awareness and willingness to solve... I wanna be optimistic!

This is good new but I won’t hold my breath.

Apple advisor

We at Apple always try to fix and our technician team along with RND team is working on it, and most of customers have experienced that this issue has been fixed after the latest update of 14.4iOS.

Could this problem be caused by hardware? I think that this is the only reason to explain this problem. We all have the same OS system, but only the hardware may be different. Since each batch of hardware produced is different, there may be a problem with this batch of hardware. This problem occurred only in the first batch of purchasing IP12PM, it did not occur to the friends who bought the second batch of IP12PM. I am sure that my friend bought the second batch of IP12PM and this problem has not occurred yet.

When in your opinion started the "second batch"? And when is the "third" starting?
iPhones are produced continiously, the whole "first, second, third, .... BATCH-thing" is nothing but a myth.
