sweet hopefully they come in black....also aluminum is cool but what about inside, what will configurations be?

Ok, this is just getting ridiculous. The "computer" pictured in the invite may not even be real. Are people that desperate for a new thread to same the same old **** in?

does anyone else agree that the new keyboard with the black and the silver is the WORST DESIGN EVER ??!?!?!?!?!:mad::eek::confused::apple::apple:

I agree to an extent. Would like to see an aluminum version with white keys and maybe silver for the pro variation. Maybe that can still happen, I'm still saving my cash for the MacBook (RED) *dreams

It would be sick, if like I said before, the laptop was all black aluminum which would look 100x better, and I'm not sure what the problem would be in making one. I guess they just want to have all the laptops the same silver color. Fun!

did anyone notice that there is never a black guy in any adds or hand models eh?

and the black macbook costs more......
:apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

So I'm assuming 13.3" 16:10 and not 16:9? If so, that's a big blow to the 16:9 camp. But the MacBook Pros could still be 16:9, and given how long 4:3 stayed on the iBook after the PowerBook went to 16:10, I'd say this is likely.

Thats totally right

ONLY 5 DAYS:D:D:D
That's the good side of a "late" invite. :D

To clarify:

This means a new notebook equal in size to the old and beautiful 12"?

Larger?, smaller? equal?, equal?, equal?

Note: yes, I need a small notebook, I have dreams about the 12".

Smaller in every dimension bar width.

So it will be wider, but on the flip side thinner and not as deep.

But would it not be better the other way around?
MacBook - 16:9 ratio
MacBook Pro - 16:10 ratio
?

MacBook Pro Black with black aluminum keyboard, I mean Black Aluminum.

But I would not care about the black keys on silver. I would rather worry about the machine's performance, speed, heat, battery, and able to play FPS games like AAO!

I don't know, I still can't see anything real beautiful with a silver laptop..

Granted these mockups aren't the most beautiful things in the world but I don't think they're really good mockups. They kinda just photoshopped on the aluminum onto a regular Macbook and gave it that black keyboard. I hope it looks a little bit bitter than that. The thing that I always wish was better on my Macbook was a smaller frame around the screen (and perhaps a bigger screen as a consequence while keeping the overall size trim). Anyone else know hat I mean?

It's not the rumours we find ridiculous, it's the silly levels of hypothesis. I've no problem with people saying what they'd like, or what they think Apple is coming out with. But I'm sitting here laughing at those who are confidently predicting Apple's next MacBook models based on (for example) the size of the logo in a small, dark image.

That said.. based on the font used in that advert, I'm 100% certain this is the new, rumoured Quad Core PowerBook G6. If I'm wrong, sue me.

Never mind Page 2, this belongs on Page Inifinity (and beyond). :p

Sorry guys, correct me if i'm wrong, but this maths doesnt work out.

Assuming that ALL Apple logos are about 1.5 inches in width....

Playing around in Photoshop - MY CURRENT MBP is 9 Apple's in diameter - thats 36cm by my working, which equals the length of my current MacBook Pro!

I'm so selling my MacBook Pro and buying a new MacBook!

Just hoping it has a reasonably capable dedicated GPU.

Ahh, 5 days is so far away. And which one to get too! :( I can see a 4am awakening on Wednesday and being in a tossup of whether to get a MB or MBP

Damn right! Come on everyone - these pictures are clearly generated in photoshop for publicity. Do you really think a photographer got creative with an upturned laptop and a funny spotlight for a few hours? Of course not, it's just a CAD projection.

Have these media invites ever used genuine, true, photos? I doubt it.

Its own thread - ok
Page 2 - maybe?
Its own item on the front page - definitely not!

A black MBP? alu-black?

I would love to see something like that, a 12'' , thin, black MBP.

The Bank can have my house!

You haven't taken into account the perspective of your photo - it is taken at a side angle. Try taking one dead on.

Although I do hear your point and see the potential flaws in the original findings for this topic.

I just hope the have real good screens this time. I was foolish enough to buy a BlackBook 2 month sago without checking it in stores (thinking the screen quality was the same as on the 15" MacBook Pro's). I couldn't believe how bad it was, it had like a 0.1 degree viewing angle. You can't even get an angle where the entire screen looks ok. I seriously believed the computer was faulty until I brought in in store an realized they are ALL like that ô_Ô.

I sold it back on eBay the very same day but took a good loss :-(. I don't know how the iBook screens were but I think the 12" PowerBook's were pretty good if I remember...

That's great news!!, Equal!

Just last week I was ready to get a small sony pc but, after I went to the sony style and saw them, I just couldn't, they are just ugly pieces of plastic.

I am canceling my therapy, no more reason to be depressed!:D

You made my day sir!

Not really equal:

PowerBook G4 12.1" (thanks to http://apple-history.com)
Dimensions: 1.18" H x 10.9" W x 8.6" D
Weight: 4.6 lbs.

MacBook 13.3"
Dimensions: 1.08" H x 12.78" W x 8.92" D
Weight: 5.2 lbs.

MacBook Air (13.3")
Dimensions: 0.76" H x 12.8" W x 8.94" D
Weight: 3.0 lbs.

So, I'd guess that the new MacBook would come in at something like 1" H x 12.5" W x 8.6" D (Assuming a somewhat narrower bezel around the screen.)
