Maybe so. But I don't whine about them.

Waaaaaah waaaaaah waaaaah.
So it is whining if people just saying they want higher res, wow you really have a low threshold, i dont understand people like you, screaming "whining waaaah waaaah waaaaah" to the left and right when people just is talking, discussing and just stating what they want.....

My eyesight is 20/20 -- and I'd like to keep it that way.:)
You loose your 20/20 just because a screen have higher res? Damn those with the iPhone 4 most be blind by now.

If the 15" have a 1GB Graphics card I am buying

I look at it like this, I work in the design industry. A designer is like a whore who has programmed their mind to find a fun place rather than being outraged or disgusted by clients' idiotic requests.

I deserve a new MBP, it's my happy place :)

So I bought the 15" 2.53 i5 a week ago. Looking at the new mbp 15" models, is it worth it to swap it out for the quad core that runs at 2.0 Ghz?

(Store's down) ;-)

Welcome time traveller!

+1 on that comment about the Truman Show and ratings (re: Store splash screen), too. I couldn't find the comment in the thread--seems the forum Search hasn't indexed this thread's post yet.

+1 "No ExpressCard." I would imagine it would still be available on the 17", though.

Time to CL my Penryn (DC area): 2.5Ghz MacbookPro (4,1) 6GB 500GB 7200 RPM Antiglare. I'm thinking $650?

Holding out for an antiglare 15" with 1GB GPU RAM...

Must...upgrade...or...die...

FYI last night the Geek Squad at Best Buy Fair Lakes in Virginia didn't have a clue about the refresh, if that's any indication of whether they have them in-stock.

I'm gonna guess Best Buy just bought a special purchase
of the previous configurations to sell to the unaware average
buyers who don't keep up with these updates.

I'd agree with this except it would keep them from selling NEW Thunderbolt cables at 2000% markup. That more their m/o.

No way you would hear difference between 5400 - 7200, and correct me if im wrong, but i believe the MBP already had 7200.
They should most def. be able to match the MBA screenresolution on the 13" MBP

Well i can hear the difference... The fans are allways on - just a little bit compared to my other 15" with the 5200 rpm.

While everyone is looking at the store, the "Tech specs" portion of "Mac" section has been updated . :)

Wait a minute. I'm on MR, correct? So from from the leaked specs, I'm getting a sense of overall ok-ness with the revisions for the MBP. There is usually anger and disappoint over specs come revision time. MR posters ok with Apple specs...shrug...I guess it had to happen sometime.
