Sorry to read that there won't be any design changes in the new AirPods for another year or two. There is a growing competition in this business sector with better fitting products that resist water much better. If this is true, I continue to not understand Apple's competitiveness or lack of it.

The black AirPods will sell like hot cakes. Everybody has been wanting them since the airpods were launched.

If this was a rumor seeded by Apple, it's strange timing. Pro users who needed new pro machines and wanted to skip the 2018 MBP because of its various problems (keyboard, heat, irretrievable data in case of mobo failure, etc) likely already bought Windows laptops for the holidays that just passed. Shouldn't Apple have floated the rumor before xmas? Maybe they didn't want to cannibalize their own MBP sales, for people who didn't know better and actually bought one. (Of course, now those people are going to be pissed, knowing a bigger and better MBP is on the way. But hey, that's the risk you take when buying tech--something better is always a year away.)

For first time since I started my switch over to Apple 12-13 years, I have zero interest in their upcoming products. Either too many compromises or too damn expensive. Unless Apple changes their approach over the coming years, as my existing gear needs upgrading, it’ll likely be from somewhere else. :(

Man,
Mac Pro
31” 6K displays
MBP 16”

This is a Mac wet dream. I hope Apple will not disappoint. Please release it all in 2019.

Although, he is not always right about things.

Genuinely curious, can you name any other analyst that has more accurate predictions than he (Kuo) does over the years reference Apple? Sure, Kuo has been wrong before, but his track record isn’t superseded by others, especially with Apple’s product line. I can’t think of any other ‘insider’ that clearly has some type of inside access to Apple’s suppliers/product line. Can you?

Indeed. I personally will be upgrading. Hopefully Apple has stronger quantities this year with suppliers, I think the 2016 AirPods were severely underestimated by Apple.

Last night, we saw the release of a extensive research note from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who laid out his timeline for product releases from Apple in the coming year. MacRumors videographer Dan Barbera recaps Kuo's predictions in this video which covers an extensive range of products including an all new 16" MacBook Pro, 6K Apple Display and much more.

Kuo is well regarded in the rumor community due to a very good track record at predicting Apple's products. Kuo gathers intelligence from his contacts in Apple's Asian supply chain, translating the information he gleans into research notes for clients.

Please hurry. And be bug/major issue free. It’s not asking too much now is it. And maybe throw a scissor keyboard on that bad boy along with 10nm processor. And perhaps a decent graphics card. Oh and while you’re at it, we could use a couple USB-A ports and maybe a little hdmi. Don’t forget MagSafe. And of course you have to have a bezel-less screen and definitely a non Touch Bar option. That’s not too much to ask right? Just make me happy. Surprise me. Make the world happy Apple. We’re relying on you. Don’t let us down.
P.S. no flexgate or butterflygate please and thank you

It may have made financial sense when they axed the 17", but now that things have turned around (just a little, no? :D)

Back she must come. Welcome back old friend :)
The 16 it’s just the 15.4 with smaller bezels.

You guys need to learn the difference between SPECULATION and RUMOR. This is nothing more than wishful thinking from someone with a terrible track record. Not cool getting everyone's hopes up over nothing.

Maybe you need to learn that going around saying ********s doesn’t make you look cool as you think

I wonder if they're also planning on bumping the 13" to 14" in the same way (bezel shrinkage)? My guess would be not until 2020, but one can hope. I don't need the power of the larger mbp and really prefer the small footprint of the 13".

If they shrink the bezels they may go the route of the 12.9" iPad and just make the case smaller with the same screen size.

I'm hoping we see the 16.5" version with the same size bezels and maybe some better thermal management to kick the processor up a few notches.

After watching the video, I was remind of my days hanging out in bars when I knew if threw enough darts, eventually I'd hit a bullseye.

Agreed but if there isn’t some kind of improved “Find My AirPods” feature that allows them to either emit a loud noise or to have the the iPhone or iPad you’re using to find them emit a tone that gets louder as you get closer to them then I’m out.
I had lost one AirPod earpiece and could not narrow down the location of it in the house. I tried to emit a sound but to no avail and ended buying a replacement.

About the only thing I can get excited about these days is a 4" iPhone.
And at a reasonable price too.

Look at the title of the video. I'm guessing it's clickbait. It makes it sound like news and not an educated guess.... lame af.
This is the internet now. Videos forced on you, auto play, listen to me, the intro, the ad.

I just want to read things. I don’t want to watch them or talk to them. I read faster than these videos can provide tge info. And i read after my wife falls asleep.

Same here, I use my phone as a phone, mainly. little bit of messaging and calendar.
For the rest, iPad.
iPhone 4s was my most favourite phone by far.
Sorry, could you be a bit more clear? Are you saying you prefer your phone because it's a phone, and only have a to-do list/calendar, some SMS and that's it? The other capabilities don't interest you and therefor the bigger phone is a hassle?

Is it comfort in your hand or the size/weight of the phone?

Nope.

And no...

Next question?

Why would any firm pay Kuo when they can get his information for free on MacRumors? Kuo probably works for Apple.
