Old and outdated. 5500m is Navi now.
who cares, it's finally not shipped with a 5-y old chip. jesus the 2019/2018 base models were a joke compared to this
Base DRAM on the 15” MacBook Pro 2016-2019 was 16GB, so they bumped nothing.
They're just starting to populate now...

I have to say, that this is a nice looking machine, and the ills of the prior models have been corrected.
The price is decent, a base model with a 1b of storage is only 2,300. I can live with that

Yes and no. The 5500M is a great GPU but but it is slightly behind the 1660. The 5500M is better than the 1650.
That's nothing to scoff at though.

Accordingly to Apple Store, the upgrade from 16Gb of ram to 32 gb costs 480€. This is insane... 480€ for 16Gb of ram... are we in the 90s or something?
This is a very nice upgrade for sure. The MBP now offers much more for $ — doubling the SSD sizes and Navi 14 across the board is certainly welcome.
Keyboard with 1mm travel still does not sound good to me. Apart from the durability issues my biggest problem with the previous gen keyboard was how it felt to type on. I felt it was hard on the fingers because of its low travel causing constant bottoming out and this doesn't seem to be much better.

Why do you want the Vega? Navi is a straight-up upgrade and it is cheaper.
