It’s there but it’s not exaggerated like that in real life. Please stop with the ghosting nonsense. It’s there but it’s not to this extent (as if you have 244hz vision to see it in slow motion) and if you can’t stand it don’t buy it.

It´s not exaggerated nor trolling. Do you really need to justify Apple that much? If you own a new MBP share how much ghosting you display has insted of calling people trolls.
I'm sensitive in detecting ghosting because I like to scroll through docs fast and find the stuff I'm looking for. It's really not terrible, no worse than my previous MBP. I don't think it's going to be a deal breaker for many people.
Do you experience same ghosting as me? Im used to a very fast gaming display and it´s my fist mbp so I´m kinda worried about mine being faulty or something.
I do, when I take a slow motion video it's a lot more noticeable. Yes, it's harder to read scrolling text than some other high refresh screens I've used but it's not bad enough to the point where I can't make out what the text roughly says. Like I said, not a deal breaker for me but then again I'm not a gamer.
These machines aren't that great at gaming either so if this is a big deal for you then just buy a Razer Blade Advanced with the money instead, you'll get better gaming performance that way anyway.
You’re posting the same crap in other threads as well. If you’re gonna slow motion everything then you might as well complain about your high refresh monitor too. They all do to some extent. Unless you have slow motion vision to detect it you’re just cornering yourself out of the laptop. Just return it and end your misery ffs.
It clearly has ghosting, I'm not sure I can call it an issue anymore as it seems to be pretty standard on very notebook with a high DPI screen. But somehow my 27" LG with 144Hz has 0 ghosting. I returned the original 16 because of ghosting, this time around I'm a lot happier with it. Part of it is getting used a XPS 13 earlier this year with worse ghosting and the other is that ProMotion does make it overall better.
I’m not even denying that. But it sure isn’t smearing like this slow motion video.
This is not an issue. I tried as hard as I could and could not duplicate this on my 16". The screen is amazing.
That´s what is driving me insane. I will return it and update this thread.
The way you are filming and using the system is not how people use their computers. You’re trying to demo in a way to force ghosting effects.

You are moving a window slowly around in a circle with a slow motion effect.
We have all this hardware too. We aren’t born yesterday.
Who moves a window around in a circle ten times when using a computer?
Literally 99% of computers will look like that if you do the same stupid useless movement.
Yeah I think the least you can do is take it to an Apple store and compare to a display unit. Honestly I think your screen is probably the same as everyone else's. It's annoying Apple didn't use a better LCD panel in this thing.
First video is slow mo second is normal, and is in circles to make it easier to see. I do not get any sort of porfit for complaining about ghosting. And why so mad about laser eyes? You lost money in bitcoin baby boy?

Shake your hands in front of your face.
Notice the ghosting effect?
Now look around quickly left and right 10 times.
See how the room was blurry?
Repeating movements produce ghosting effects even in our eyes, not just on screens.
Even your eyes are contributing to that ghosting effect when you move an object around in a circle on a screen.
But repeating movements like this have no real world purpose. Why would you move a window around in a circle? Because you’re bored with life?
Your vision also has natural bloom effects. So now go make blooming videos.

These are incredibly expensive machines. We are allowed to be upset because of issues like this. To the OP, the ghosting is there, it's a bit disappointing. Don't think you got a defect or anything. I'm okay with it as long as we can get the apps that don't even work with 120hz fixed, ex. Safari. But yeah it's incredibly disappointing. Maybe Apple will give us a full time 120hz option eventually, which could potentially help.
