I know games are important to their bottom line...but I could care less. I guess I'm just getting old.

They are cool but definitely just as a bonus feature. For my gaming I'll stick to my PS3, Wii, and DS thank you very much.

Wow what crap.

My first negative vote, what a disappointment.

Clearly when they released the first Touch and sacrificed capacity for thinness, all we've been asking for is an even thinner Touch and not more capacity...

Garbage.

Now that I think of it... does it have something to do with Steve's current thinness? Does he have some kind of all encompassing anorexia that he's forcing on his products?

iPod Touch out today... hmmm...

so should I get that (16GB $299) or the new iPod nano in a few days (16GB $199)...

hmmmm...

I must not be hip any longer! Who the hell is Jack Johnson?:confused:

$199 was about my price point for a new iPod, so the $229 8GB Touch is probably my choice, but $70 more for twice the memory is mighty tempting as well. :)

exactly my thinking. you get so much more technology from the $199 nano to the $229 touch in only $30 and then just add double the memory for $70...

The only disappointing thing here is 2.1 available Friday. Then have the freaking event on Friday FFS. Oh and iPods aren't available either.

Anybody know how long it should be until the Touch shows up in non-Apple retail stores?
