Actually, it didn't disappear as an Application and loaded fine with the proxy information, however trying it now, Safari just gives me an error and I can't get anything to load

Netshare has always been a bit temperamental so it could just be my set up.

You might have to reassign your iPhone to take a static IP again from your computer to computer network -- Mine switched back to DHCP after the update, but i fixed it in a few taps.

After that, NetShare is back up and running flawlessly.

Mine downloaded fine, but it has been "backing up" for about an hour now. This is ridiculous.
You can cancel that backup with the little X in the progress bar and it'll finish the rest of the sync like normal.

Typing this from my 2.0.1 iPhone and the typing lag seems to be fixed. So yes, Safari does seem snappier. Mobile Safari that is :D

BACKUP WAIT IS FIXED

just tried backing up, took less than 2 minutes for a phone with 20 apps on it.

Does it sync with Outlook properly now? No more disappearing calendar events, adding something on the iPhone actually shows up in Outlook. Fixing little things like that would be nice.

The update isn't showing for me on my iPod touch 2.0 (using the latest version of iTunes). It says this whenever I hit the update button:

"This version of the iPod software (2.0) is the current version."

hey i have an unlocked iphone 8 gig, will uploading to 2.0.1 make it not unlocked anymore? i dont want to bother taking the chance without some advice.

The backing up we're talking about is the back up before the update installs. You can't cancel it out.

Update complete, phone seems snappier however my cell signal has no improvement:confused:. I guess I'm going to need to get a new sim card from AT&T and see if that fixes the signal issues.

Some of those issues were resolved with iTunes 7.7.1

This definitely sucks. I'll be stuck at work til midnight... Blah!

The last two updates I was able to snatch up immediately after reading about them. This wait is gonna kill me even though I know it's nothing huge.
