Dude, you have ZERO credibility! May I remind you of your post from 01/02:

"FINAL FACT

They will be at 3ghz FOR SURE by MWSF

THIS IS A FACT"

You wouldn't know a "fact" if it hit you upside the head!

So, which statement above is the truth? Not any of the ones I quoted, we know that. What makes you think we would even think you could even remotely be right?

You do realize you have ZERO credibility on these forums now, do you not, NeatGekko? It makes me laugh that you would even naively post again, thinking people will believe you, and not know of your previous statements.

And great job Primalman above to document all of NeatGekko's previous claims. After reading through all of those, what do you even have to say for yourself, NeatGekko?

Geez, anyone can make claims like that and keep changing them - and eventually they'll be right.

Here's Shard's new claim: "G5 iMacs are coming out real soon guys! It's a fact! And if they don't I'll eat my left ankle." And I'll just keep saying this until it comes true, then take credit for my earlier "prediction".

You're not fooling anyone NeatGekko, please don't bother wasting our time anymore.

Intel actually has the best branch prediction of the desktop processor makers right now (though I haven't seen numbers on the 970 yet). Between the Athlons, Pentiums, and G4s, Intel manages to average around 96% successful predictions while The G4 averages around 94%?? Wish I remember who did the testing... I think Intel's choices are questionable, but they have some pretty talented people to make it work.

On a more interesting SUN will be releasing Ultra Sparc 4 DUAL CORE giving QUAD cpu performance in an EATX style chassis YUM YUM. Performance will be from 1.8-2.2 x the DUAL CPU Ultra Sparc 3. Multi core will be the future IMO.
Too bad the Ultrasparc 3 sucks so much ass. Sun didn't port Solaris to x86-64 because the Ultrasparc was so dominant.
Sun may very well get a significant boost from Ultrasparc4, but that will just make them competative again... until Power5, Opteron, Tejas, and IA64 make it look like outdated crap again.

Solaris 10 for Opteron due within 4 months dude and its 64-bit. As for the Ultra Sparc 4 it is essentially 2 US3 cores but it will fit into an ATX/ETX sized chassis hence QUAD way workstation in a 2 way foot print. It isnt outdated SUN releases products way after they have all the bugs fixed and reliability concerns covered and then certified everything including the OS, the drivers and the vendors software, then and only then do they release it. This has and still does ensure rock solid reliability unlike the Power 4 which ive dealt with allready and have passed back into the BOX it came from, the Itanium 2 also went with it only a few weeks ago (I should say this was due to lack of software as I wanted to run simulations and compare results to the IBM and SUN machines). Yes performance is important but I need the machine to handle what I throw at it not give up halfway through. In the EDA industry theres no room for error period and is the reason I use SUN machines. Mature is better dude and allways will be.

Yeah it's been a nice little hiatus for the 'other' computer world out there as Intel has focused more on mobile/low power designs, higher throughput designs, and designs with built in wifi variants for some time now. All that said, they're now claiming 3.4 and 3.6 very soon with 4.0 near the end of the year or just past. So we'll get closer in terms of clock speed, but still not quite catch them. Not that clock speed is everything as we know :)

ya. If we (g5) reach 3 ghz this summer and they are at say....3.6 then at end of year we might possibly be 3.6 and they might be 4, a 400 mhz diff is alot better than 1.2 ghz haha. That is just my guess.

Apple Refurbs

Just wanted to let people know that there are no refurb moniters at the apple store online. With that there are only Dual 1.8 G5's in there as well, they don't even mention the other processors or any of the monitors, could there be an update shortly????

Well the next update will bring 3GHZ G5's even if you don't like the fact that I'm saying it. It doesn't really matter if you don't think I'm credible...don't believe what I say and stop wasting time responding to my posts that have no credibility...do something productive!

When did you say that next update was, cuz I really am not in the mood to wait until summer?

Why are you asking him? He doesn't have a clue. He already has fallen on his sword over his "3.0 by MWSF" comments.

I doubt G5 updates will be delayed until summer -- but Apple is clearly in no hurry. If you need a computer now, buy one now! Why wait?

Let's take a look at some of your comments from your above post:

"Stop wasting time"
"my posts that have no credibilty"
"do something productive"

Perhaps you should take your own advice, as this is an accurate summary of what you've been doing here ever since you stated (and I quote):

"They will be at 3ghz FOR SURE by MWSF. THIS IS A FACT"

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO
Im crying already! :D

no point in waiting dude, if we were all waiting we would still be using 386's

If your gona be buying a PC system then WAIT, theres gona be a new form factor, PCI express for for graphics/SCSI, DDR 2, Geforce 5 (NV40), ATI R400, some new WILDCAT AGP PRO cards

Now now, everyone calm down. If you have a watch you wear every day for years, and the battery finally dies, the watch is still right twice a day. ;) If NeatGekko says the 3Ghz G5s are coming, I'll believe him. He HAS to be right eventually. :D

Seems to me that Gekkos just likes to stir up the pot....

Why entertain him by getting riled up?

What if the g5 goes up to 3.2 ghz, that means he was wrong cuase there were no 3 ghz machines, only 3.2 :D
