yea. Charlie Frye is a gamer, that's for sure. A step up from the Tim Couch debacle. Winslow and Edwards are good players too. Really need a RB, though...easy to say that, but hard to find a guy who can handle 20-25 carries a game.

I think an offensive line would help out more at this point ;)

They've been through enough centers to make up an O'line on their own

Seem to be gelling a little better though - they played the Ravens hard.

Amazed that Simms ended up having his spleen removed!

Yeah... I thought when the Cards got the ball that it should have been the game. There's no excuse for fumbling the ball on the exchange...

Hey, who would have predicted that the Ravens would be 3-0 after three weeks?

I'll confess, I didn't. Still smiling though as it could all change next week.

Great defense, and McNair was a great aquisition.

The Succaneers are screwed!

Yeah, Baltimore has had to live and die by its defense every year. McNair, while not setting the NFL on its ear, is at least getting the job done. Sorta like "winning ugly".

As great as my beloved Ravens defense is, the Browns really brought the game to them. You have to admire that. Several times yesterday, I felt like the Ravens were letting the game get away from them. To be totally honest, I wasn't sure that we were going to be able to come back until the last kick was made. A real nail-biter for the Ravens fans.

Just keepin it real.

I was proud of "my" Bears for sticking with it and pulling the win out in Minnesota. Wasn't too sure about some of the officiating at times, but overall I think it balanced out. Not much of an offensive show on either side, but a W is a W.

I thought this headline from Glendale was pregnant with irony. I was hoping they'd both lose. They tried. Warner's experience came through. I saw a few of the "greatest shows on turf" games in St. Louis. Bulger can't even handle Warner's mantle, let alone the ball but for the luck. Maybe I need to switch back to pulling for emw's Bear ball, since I've been a black and blue division fan over time.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Marc Bulger and Kurt Warner took turns trying to fumble the game away Sunday. Warner succeeded.

It's beginning to look like you and me and whoever has the team Billiethecats are going to be top teams...

Ya that's me, see Billiethecat <- avatar.

I'm down by two points, but i still have R Bush for tonight on MNF, the person I was playing against had one totally empty slot, and another player on a bye, and I'm still down 2 points..lol..

anyway,

The Steelers are in trouble, this bye should help....

Then we go on the road to SD...sigh.

Ben is all over the place, he's not himself at all.

In the end, I still think we outplayed the bungholes, handing them two gift wrapped TD's....well no one can overcome that s**T...

we had a nice run, I guess it's our turn to suck again...:(

yea, you're seeing the difference in personnel
the fumbled punt...Randle El would have fielded that one. There's a reason CB's don't become wide receivers: they can't catch.

the Haynes fumble...that would've been Bettis taking that carry, who almost never dropped the ball.

and the dropped passes...Randle El usually hung on to whatever went his way. Holmes & Washington have talent, but they aren't ready yet.

it'll get better...the defense is still good and Ben is still rusty. They'll be better by week 8. Hopefully it won't be too late...

wow, does this give the bears the edge for next week's sunday night game? madden curse anyone?

on another note, isn't it kind of eerie how the broncos season this year resembles last year? embarrassed in the first game. squeek out a win in week 2 thanks to a solid D. Third game, a prime-timer, team dominates on all aspects of the game: offense (jevon, what knee injury? :D :D :D ), defense (junk TD, no TD's for 11 straight quarters, not since chicago cardinals), Special team (blocked kick).

I hope the trend continues. It was good to see Shanahan keeping to one RB in this game. I think that allowed for some consistency in the offense.

My Saints totally dominated the Falcons tonight.

3-0 baby! Now I just need to get comfortable as they lose the next 13 straight.

Saints played very well. The Falcons let me down tonight. I was playing Vick in my fantasy league and I lost by seven points. Vick gave me -1. Crumpler only gave me four.

I had Vick in my other league, and he gave me four points, which allowed me to win by 2....how did you get -1 ?

In the Mac Rumors league, I lost by .83 points.....I needed Bush to just catch a pass for ONE yard and I would have won....

Whoo hoo! 3-0 and now ready for crushing defeat through the rest of the city!

It was nice getting to watch my version of the Superbowl last night, however. First time I've been able to jump up and down with excitement at a Saints victory since...I dunno, some game with Bobby Hebert. :)

So what's Dungy's excuse in Indy? ;)

The truth is, the best team doesn't always win the Super Bowl. The Steelers pretty clearly had the best team in football in 2004 (15-1) and didn't even make the big game; there have been countless examples of teams that were dominant during the regular season and crapped out in the playoffs. I think Dungy's lack of success in the playoffs isn't entirely his fault, but more an "any given Sunday" phenomenon, where you just have to have a little bit of luck to get by.

If the trend continues I hope they put T.O. on the cover.

T.O. isn't waiting to be on the cover, he is beating them to it with this report of a suicide attempt. Damn shame that he has all these problems, because he really has some skills.

HEY!!! Wait a second. You posted that yesterday and last night was the suicide attempt. HMMMMMM. I hope you're happy Tanglewood. I bet T.O. read your post and it set him off.

Just kidding. I doubt it was really a suicide attempt anyway. Sounds like it was a bad reaction to a poor mix of pain killers and other supplements he was taking. Hope he is doing OK, because no matter how much you may dislike his ways, he is a human and it would be a loss.

his agent or publicist (can't remember which) is now disputing the idea that it was a suicide attempt, saying that when the paramedics asked him if he tried to hurt himself he misunderstood the question. Personally, I don't buy this explanation. In any case, he'd better get ready for a whole career's worth of DB's talking trash to him about it.

I could be wrong, and I never read his book, but didn't he have an incident in the past that was very similar?

Alexander, who is crediting prayer with healing his fractured left foot according to the Tacoma News Tribune, hopes to play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2605084

Mr. Alexander, I would not step onto the field unless you really feel that you are 100% and ready to contribute, otherwise I can't imagine that ankle feeling good with 6 bears on top of you and a little urlacher love ...

This isn't the game in which you should try to be a hero coming against one of the best D's in the league ... a D that might be as quick as you are at times, and a D thats going to exploit your weakness and overall might hurt the team.

Obviously SA can figure out whats best for him, and if he can play, but it would be a shame to risk the season for one game against a team you might see in the playoffs. At the same time I completely fear SA and his running abilities when he's healthy.

wow...I have no idea, though that's certainly an interesting thing if he did. I don't think a lot of TO's antics, but I'm all for him getting help if he needs it.
