Steelers....Finally,

Now I don't know what to think.

Was the Burgh that good, or the Chefs that bad..

But damn, what an ass whippin.

We stuffed LJ hard, and we stuffed LT last week, so our D is looking solid and consistant.

Ben woke up, he was something like 17/19 with 2 TD, so hopefully he silenced a few critics.

And Troy P must have tough hair, cuz LJ almost scalped him...
HERE WE GO

:D :D

yea I'm with you...big win and Big Ben finally played up to his talent. I remain cautiously optimistic, though. Steelers put the ball on the ground 4 times, with Holmes responsible for 2 of them. That's not going to work. And I still think the receivers have some work to do, especially in the running game. Holmes/Wilson/Washington could stand to step up their blocking.

Next week is Atlanta in the dome. I'm a little worried about Vick, but only as a running threat. Atlanta has shown that they aren't much to worry about in the passing game.

Monday Night

after watching the Bears/Cardinals, a few thoughts...

1) Neil Rackers is going to have a long, LONG week at practice
2) what the HELL were the Titans thinking taking Vince Young ahead of Matt Leinart?

ROFL :D Da Bears stole one from AZ. Gotta love Urlacher and their D! And I do love it when the football Cardinals choke. :)

Its funny, while thinking about the game this week, I said that arizona is one of those teams that can lose the game themselves ... wow did they prove it!

This wasn't a great win for the bears, it wasn't even good when you look at how rex played but at the same time everyone needs tough wins to build character and experience. I hope rex does some soul searching over this break and realizes that the defense can't always save him ... just most of the time.

I generally love Rackers because he went to my college, but not tonight!

Holy ****. As happy as I am that the Bears won, I do feel bad for Leinart. He deserved to win this game. He's going to be very good for a long time, I think.

How do you win with three offensive points, six turnovers, and 20 minutes of possession?

I had a feeling the Cardinals would implode, but it was still shocking....they definitely did it in style.

The Cardinals QB will have a great career and turn the Cards into a winning franchise.

Sunday November 12, the Giants are going to crush the Bears. I have tickets :)

The shame of it all is that Rackers is going to be the goat for the rest of the team's ineptness. Did the kicker fumble the ball or fail to to get 6 even when gifted awesome field position? This game came down to the wire 'cause the 'Cards flat out blew it on offense.

Funny how different things get noticed depending on the outcome of the game. The fumbles would've been a much bigger issue had the score been close. As it was, the game was over in the first half, which was when most of the actual football was played. The second half, everyone just wanted to go home, except whoever on the Chiefs kept calling timeout (talk about torturing your team.) But the offensive line was much more impressive. It will be interesting to see what happens against the Falcons. They seem to be having alot of trouble stopping the run, but success running it themselves. The key will be whether Pittsburgh is able to bottle up the Falcons running attack. If they are, it's a W. If they're not, expect to see a short game, all runs by both teams, and whoever is able to make touchdowns instead of field goals is going to win.

Wow...

They ALMOST pulled off the upset of the SEASON.
But yet again, they totally blew a large lead.
What a morale killer.

Sounds like I missed a great game. The wife wanted to watch "The Bachelor." (Priorities, people. :)

Funny how you can make the kicker the goat even though he made three other field goals, and offense & special teams managed to give up 21 points. Probably more of one of those, good teams manage to win ugly games, kind of things.

Sounds like this year's crop of new quarterbacks is not too bad. Vince Young seems to be doing okay (he was obviously going to be a work in progress, the molding of talent - only question is whether he will turn into a Mike Vick or a Kordell Stewart.) For Leinart to be doing as well as he is, being as green as he is, and with what at least seemed to be a poor offensive line, is a great sign for the future of the Cardinals. I'm really rooting hard for Bruce Gradkowski, given that he's from a stone's throw away from where I grew up, but he just looked craptastic against the Bengals, who by the way had the game stolen away by the officiating. (No, not the touchdown; couple plays earlier, "roughing the passer" on a play where Gradkowski fumbled.)

That was quite an insane game last night. Cardinals deserved to win, but could not get it done to put the Bears away. I have to admit it went 180 of where I thought it would go - on any given Sunday I guess.

I think I felt bad for the little cancer kid that was there for Leinart - he wanted to be there for his first NFL win on a Monday night...sorry kid.

Ha, even those of us in Chicago are dumbfounded.

funny enough, our local sports radio show tore our team apart last night on the post-game radio show. One guy even said our 3rd string QB could have done better-which is probably true. Hell, Grossman couldn't even hang with D3 college kids last night.

But, a win is a win.

BTW, Leinart was fantastic. The future is upon you, Cardinals fans.

Baltimore just dismissed their offensive coordinator Jim Fassel. Guess being 4-2 and 1st in the AFC North wasn't good enough?

That's due to their defense...their offense has been horrible. They need to be clicking on both sides in order to be successful. They got the benefit of opening the season against three horrible teams, but they're struggling now that they're facing quality teams.

Shocking

Playing against the 1 defense and the O.C.gets canned. Try D.C. & Special Teams maybe. They're more to blame for last night's loss.

Maybe special teams, but not their DC. 6 turnovers, no TD's allowed, against what was a potent offense? the cardinal's defense was awesome last night.

It was on the OC, but maybe not worthy of getting fired. Their 1st half was great, but blew it in the 2nd.
