Yeah, the boring-est team (to watch on TV) just seems to keep rolling along. I just hope the wheels don't fall off the cart cause this ride has been waaaaaay smooth. :D :D :D

GOOOO R-A-V-E-N-S

I never would have guessed the Ravens would be 9-2 at this point. Amazing what can happen when you add an average offense to good special teams and a very strong defense.
I wonder how far we can go...

Super Bowl. McNair can take that team all the way. They already own the tiebreaker with the Chargers, so they stand a very good chance IMHO of getting the #2 seed. If it plays out that way, then SD (assuming they beat whoever they see in the first round) likely has to go to Baltimore for the Divisional playoff game. I don't think they can win there in January.

I also don't think the Colts can handle Baltimore's defense, regardless of where that game is played.

Is there a team in the NFC that could beat any of the top 3 teams in the AFC? Eh...I doubt it. Maybe Chicago (though not with Grossman), or possibly Dallas.

Speaking of which, if Dallas keeps playing the way they have been, they're going to be mighty tough come January.

well another loss for the Falcons, despite Vick's 166 yards rushing. can't ask much more from him, no turnovers, but his receivers just can't catch the ball. his remarks after the game didn't help him either

I agree with all of this. I was looking at the current standings - and even though my Saints lead their division, I know they can't touch the AFC. Neither can Carolina, even though I think they would fair better.

That leaves Dallas. I normally hate Dallas, but I went to High School with Bradie James, and it's fun to watch him. He and the rest of the defense are having a great year - but I still don't think they can handle Baltimore, San Diego, or a rematch with Indianapolis.

Who knows - it's always a fairly safe bet to put the Pats in the Super Bowl though.

I hate the Rams  They're jammy twunts... I do believe Holt had control of that ball and fumbled rather than it being incomplete. Blew some momentum immediately.

Having said that, I think the football gods would have helped out if Nolan hadn't been a wuss and gone for the field goal with 4 minutes to so. With the way they were running the ball, they should have converted the fourth and one. And even if they hadn't, since the Rams are always dangerous enough to score a touchdown, at least you'd have pinned them back around the yard line. Was v frustrated last night

Rant over. Feel better now

I mean come on, the patriots beat bad teams,

And they barely lost to some good ones. And despite turning the ball over 5 times (heartattack!), they still managed to beat the Bears (at home, where they've sucked this year, which you'll note is the site of their 3 losses).

Say what you want about the Pats, but depite personel problems and (the 3rd year in a row with) a completely depleted secondary, they STILL manage to put up a winning season.

If you're really going to hang your hat on the win against the Bears, the patrios post season is going to be as short as last year. Sunday's game was just one of those times that somebody had to win but no one deserved too. The Patriots slightly edged the Bears but that kind of game will get them hammered in the playoffs.

I'm not saying the bears earned any respect at all, I'm just saying that the patriots still have a way to go.

i'm not so sure i'd say that. they beat a team with only 1 loss. that's saying something. it might have been ugly, but they won nonetheless

I think that if you came out and played your best possible game and dominated the 1 loss team, thats something to be confident about. If you did anything special you can be proud of that. All the patriots did was survive in my book. I'm reducing it quite a bit, but again, neither of the teams that I saw play on Sunday are ready for the playoffs next weekend. Tom Brady was barely moving the ball better than Grossman, and thats nothing to be proud of.

Be happy for a win, but to me a wins not just a win. you need to do it convincingly, and the Patriots didn't really come close to that.

My Ravens are like the Rodney Dangerfield of pro football. They "can't get no respect". Ravens are still listed as the underdogs in tomorrows game against the Bengals. Maybe if they can find a way to win that game, things might change a bit.

Ravens were getting plenty of respect ... and then they lost to denver BAD and they lost to Carolina late so they looked like they were sliding down. You can't blame people for forgetting about them and the Bengals are re-surgent and showing the offensive prowess we all expected. I wouldn't worry about the line because I think its going to be a good game on Sunday no matter who's slightly favored.

Not so sure about the game on Sunday, but the Ravens / Bengals matchup on Thursday night should be something to see. :D :D :D :D :D

Looking at the numbers, the two teams match up pretty well in alot of areas. I think my Ravens will have a really good chance. The Bengals offense is clicking pretty good, but this Ravens defense always seems to step up to the occasion. I hope that the Ravens running game gets moving early. The Ravens offense is not a offensive juggernaut, but they are going up against the second worst defensive in the NFL.

Don't like Thursday night games  since I can't watch them as they start at 1am Friday and I have work. Even more annoyed this time though since our darned satellite company are putting them on a different channel that you have to pay another premium for. I already pay for two channels to get NFL action.

Guess I'll just have to try to avoid the score (which I'm really bad at doing!) and watch it on Gamepass on Friday night

you can say what you want, but when it comes down to it, a win is a win, and that's all that matters. regular season and playoffs, you win, you keep playing, it's that simple

I'm a tad worried about the guys on the Ravens. Four days between games is not very much especially for what is shaping up to be a very important game against a division rival. Whether you like the Ravens or not, wish the guy luck anyway and hope no one gets hurt to bad. The Cowboys did it on Thanksgiving, so ....................

I will make one prediction, I'm thinking Carson's going to find himself on his back alot, and at least three of those times will be sacks. I'm only saying three sacks, because I think the front line protection of the Bengals will be tougher than the Steelers.
