Yeah, Brady sure was having trouble moving the ball against the #2 ranked passing defense. I can't imagine what his deal was.

That's kind of what I was thinking. He threw a few stinkers, but threw some brilliant stuff as well.

I'd still take him over Peyton.

I'm a tad worried about the guys on the Ravens. Four days between games is not very much especially for what is shaping up to be a very important game against a division rival.

Well, it's the same for both teams. I hate any player getting hurt.

But since Carson is my fantasy QB (and I'm on a four game winning streak with still an outside chance at the playoffs) so I'm going to have to root for the Bengals on this one... I'll go for the Ravens if you promise me a couple of long TDs to Houshmanzadeh to make up for the loss?:p

OH my. The Ravens / Bengals game is just about over and my Ravens stunk up the field. OMG, they looked just like the lowly Steelers. I guess it's pretty safe to say that the Ravens can't play in the rain.

Uggh.. Gotta hand it to Detroit, they played a heck of a game.
The Pats REALLY need to work on turnovers.
Congrats to the Titans (and Titan fans) for an excellent win!
And big ups to Reggie Bush for a stellar performance.

so glad i sat him in another fantasy league... hah

well the redskins played an awesome quarter and 3 horrible ones. but one expects campbell to have bad games as he gains experience, so we'll see how the rest of the season goes, but if he can improve (and they actually give him a chance to stick with it) then it should be a big step up from relying on washed up qbs and may even provide a pseudo franchise qb for 5-7 years down the road. that'd be the first time in a while here in dc

no one can fire joe gibbs without a huge backlash. now, i'm not saying joe gibbs is doing a great job even, but he's held so highly here in dc that snyder would be a fool... more likely would be gibbs retiring.

personally, i think the problem is more snyder's style of buy the best (overpriced) players out there and pray that they fit into a system, rather than build from the ground up. that is the reason i see hope in jason campbell playing, because he is a work in progress... and unless snyder makes the coach go buy out damon huard or something in the offseason, i think it'll be a positive step.

i'd like to see gibbs stick it out though. there are positives there, and certainly the talent. i think that al saunders' approach to the offense has been pretty much a failure though...

well the redskins might not have played their best, but you gotta give credit to the falcons finally looking better. Vick looks a lot better when his receivers hold on to a few.

You're not the only one.

I about crapped myself when he brought in Prime Time and Bruce Smith.

definitely true. great running game, and vick's deep pass to crumpler was so perfect. that pass and romo's deep pass to witten at the end of that game struck me as such perfectly placed passes.

and the redskins just didn't have an answer for the blitz once the falcons started bringing it. ultimately the turning point was the poor decision interception... redskins went from getting at least 3, to giving up 7... big swing for sure.

yeah, that catch by crumpler led to more catches by him and other receivers. it's like that's what got them started on offense (basically)

yeah that turnover was big. that might have been in overtime if not for that. i still think it was a good game to watch though

I think Gibbs comes back. Really, the Redskins have been hurt by their terrible, terrible play at quarterback. Brunell is done. He had a good career, but it's time for him to hang it up. The new kid, however, is showing signs of life. He'll have some growing pains, but he looks like he's got the makings of a pretty good QB.

a warning: look for Snyder the idiot to overpay for Byron Leftwich in the offseason.

last night, I haven't seen the Big Tuna with such a wide smile on his face in a looooonng time. And Martin Gramatica, what a little bundle of energy when he made that field goal to clinch the Cowboy's win. The smallest players on the field have the most energy. Such a good game.

Go Bengals. (naturally... they're coming back, slowly, but that train is coming)

And I hope Joey Harrington can turn himself around. He "was" doing well. I have faith. He deserves it, after the way that he has been shucked by everyone.

Excellent Comments re: Chicago Bears From Eric Allen @ ESPN.com

By Eric Allen

Coach Lovie Smith has to be concerned that Rex Grossman's poor play is going to cost the Bears a game in the playoffs. It's not the fact that he is playing badly that is especially disconcerting -- because all young quarterbacks struggle -- it's the fact that he doesn't compensate for his poor play. Grossman starts to press and then he tries to go deep instead of shortening the field and taking what the defense is giving him.
It's almost as if he's still stuck in Steve Spurrier's offense at Florida where he could rely on his superior athletes at receiver to bail him out deep. He has to realize that in the NFL, the deep balls he's throwing into double coverage are going to end up getting him and his team into even more trouble.

Because of this over-reliance on the deep ball, the Bears might seriously have to consider bringing Brian Griese in to start games. This offense doesn't need to do much to win games because of the superiority of the defense. Griese understands that and won't try to do too much. I still believe Grossman is the future for this team, but the Bears are a team that can win a title now.

he makes some good points there. my favorite is about him thinking he's still at Florida. ha, that's why i don't like him

what a wacky season this is.

Who is the front runner? no one. There is not one team IMO that is clearly dominant. The Pats are squeaking out wins, the Colts are losing to a rookie QB for god sakes, the Steelers took the year off, The Seasquakeres are just hanging on with injured starters, the Rams are no good, Baltimore is hit or miss same with Cinci, so who does that leave? Carolina? Dallas? Right now I guess Dallas is the hottest team.. But it is a strange season as no one has really stepped out in front and been good/great. The Eagles? not this year either...I'm gonna jump on the Saints Bandwagon, cuz SD and the Bears are not as good as they seem. IMHO of course.

I liked the Saints before the season started though I'm a Drew Brees fan. I like how hes come back successfully after his surgery.

Though three out of the four loses came to AFC teams (Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Cincy [They did beat Cleveland to start the season]). Right now I like their chances of getting to the big game in the weak NFC though I just don't see them winning against the forerunners in the AFC.

Though who I'd like to see in the Super Bowl is a San Diego quarterback bowl (a lá Gruden Bowl a few years back).
San Diego vs New Orleans.

Worked that one out yet? :D

Vince Young is looking good these days, no question. Though I still think Leinart is the better QB of the two. But we'll never know for sure so long as he's in Arizona.

Fisher is an excellent coach, and the Titans are a solid organization. I'd love to see what they could do with a guy like Leinart.

well...I'm not so sure. The Cards, for all their many weaknesses, have pretty decent receivers. The Titan's on the other hand should probably be looking to get some receivers next draft. I mean, the best receiver they have is a cornerback (PacMan)... Swap the Cards' receivers with the Titans' then perhaps a case could be made. At any rate, whoever is the better passer , Young or Leinart, I'm undecided. Who's the better QB, I'd say Vince Young. ... though admittedly this is coming from a dispossessed Houstonian and Oilers fan.

I guess that game is on NFL channel only, unless you live in the burgh like you.

Oddly enough it's on here in Canada though.. he he....

ouch... watching the Steelers is painful this season. If Rex Grossman were cloned and made into a football team, that team would be the 2006 Steelers.
