Bah. Dante Culpepper... his weakness at decision making will be further exposed in Miami.

Squish the Fish.

Oh come on now. After that last superbowl "victory" we may have to start calling them the "stealers".

The Steelers have a chance to be a good team for a long time. They've got a good "system" with good players in place. Picking a criminal from Ohio State was a weird choice. All he has to do is stay out of trouble until he gets to camp and he couldn't even do that - TWICE.

Good defense, good line, good running game = Ben has time and talent around him.

HA HA...

Keep tellin yourself that.

i posted facts.

6'5 260 (culpepper) is indeed bigger than 6-3 230 (porter). those are facts.

so yes, i (and espn.com) will keep telling everyone that

Yeah but Porter knows how to hit people :D

If Culpepper can get back to his old form, then the Dolphins might be in with a shot. It will also be interesting to see how Brees does in New Orleans; Brooks was always a bit of a loose cannon so I wonder if this year the Saints will manage to make something of it. And of course, there's a similar situation in San Diego to see what Philip Rivers can actually do! If he's reasonable, then they've got a good chance to do something in the post-season.

As a Niners fan, I'm resigned to playing spoiler in the second half the season... :p

Rivers was incredible to watch in college. If he can do a fraction of what he did at NC state then he'll be really good in San Diego.

I'd like to see Smith do well in San Fran - but it won't happen this year.

Just from past experiences (Ryan Leaf) I'm always wary of new quarterbacks in San Diego.

i saw him play 1 game live. he was incredible to watch. it was NC St @ FSU. the final score was something like 47-44. what a game to watch, too bad NC St lost

This is true, Dante is taller and fatter...

I was referring to this statement...

"joey porter will do nothing to daunte"

Ha ha...I love how the S**t talk has begun and it's not even August yet....

And I agree somewhat, I was pissed that the Refs blew so many calls, and forced the world to question the victory....

At least it wasn't like the Netherlands/Portugal World Cup game.

there is no off-season for sh*t talk in football :D

is joey's ass still sore?

Ha HA good one....

I have the Steelers Championship DVD, and there's this scene where, after the Indie playoff game, and they all know they have to go to Denver next..Joey yells out in the Locker room "THEY SHOT ME IN DENVER....!!!!" and everyone gets all fired up...

Friggin hilarious....:D

i stand by my "crazy picks" from the day after the superbowl:

the dolphins win the AFC east
the 49ers go 8-8 and win the NFC west

the steelers will have a tough go of the AFC north, even money on the steelers and bengals

dallas won't be as good as everyone thinks

antoine randel-el will disappear

the colts will still win the AFC south

chad pennington will still suck

well i did see Culpepper throw an interception at about the 5 yard line, and run the guy down at around the 15 yard line on the other end of the field. i was very impressed

there is no way in hell 8-8 wins the nfc west. no chance. not with best team in the nfc seattle and the emerging cardinals... no way

i agree with everthing else.. except maybe the bengals but that depends on if carson palmer comes back in time.

and man i hope your right about my dolphins!

I know most people in these boards don't like them but...

GO BRONCOS!!!!

Like any other team, they have a lot of "if's" but I think they're chances are good to make a run at the SB. Training camp starts tomorrow!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

So Reggie missed the start of the Saints training camp officially becoming a hold out. Though from what I've read it looks like negotiations are running a 'normal' course (If it was completely normal wouldn't he already be signed).

At least its not as bad as the Chargers when it comes to signing draftees. I think this year was the first time in a long time that everyone was signed before training camp.

Ever since I was born in Boston, I have been a Pats fan my whole life. I pick them to win the Super Bowl. (As I do every year)
