Ever since I was born in Boston, I have been a Pats fan my whole life. I pick them to win the Super Bowl. (As I do every year)

As a Steeler fan I'm bred to despise the Pats....b/c they always beat us...and one theory I have as to how we were able to get through the playoffs last year, and win the SB, is the fact that we managed to avoid playing NE.....

I had a Physics teacher that was a diehard Steeler fan. I wore my Pats shirt in to that class as often as I could. :D

Funny thing was I ran into her this past year and the first thing that came out of her mouth was "I told you the Steelers would win!"

As a Denver fan, I say, you're welcome.

It's great to have all our draft picks signed and in training camp.
From reports, it also sounds like Jevon Walker is looking really good.

Go Skins! They are gonna be in first in the NFC East this year.
For some reason i despise the Patriots, so i hope the Dolphins win the AFC east.

It's funny how year after year, despite players/coaches/(sometimes) management/owners changing, we're still willing to have our ultra-rival teams that we cannot stand.

And those loyalties (and anti-loyalties) trickle over in weird places.. I've turned my wife into a towel-twirllin'-fool-hater & JETS Ess-Eww-Cee-Kay SUCK SUCK SUCK hater & a Fish hater.

Ain't love grande?

The teams I can't stand are the Raiders, the Cowboys (more because of Jerry Jones), and the Steelers (my hate for this team stems from this game).

Ah.. I completely neglected the NFC (clearly as an AFC fan, there's a lengthy history of painful reeming there)..

You'd think I'd hate the Bears because of Superbowl XX..

But no.

I hate The Fridge for being a massive wang, and Ditka for being a more massive wang and not getting Walter Peyton a freaking touchdown and letting The Fridge score a touchdown. Wangs. I hate those wangs.

I don't like the Raiders (as a Niners fan), I really don't like the Rams. I'm not a big Giants, Eagles, Buccs, Cowboys fan for a variety of reasons. I hate how jammy the Patriots have been in recent years - although that might change now that Vinatieri isn't here. I don't like how methodical the Colts are.

Conversely, I have soft spots for the Chiefs, Chargers, Packers, Bills, Lions and Panthers - generally teams where I've been and had good experiences with their fans. Or where some of 'our' NFLE players went back and played.

In the UK, we can't just watch our favourite team. We get one of the 1pm and one of the 4pm kick offs and then the two primetime games. We get to see most of the teams play and there are a few where I sit in the sports bar at midnight wondering why I'm there!

Does anyone have NFL Network? With them showing games during the season I'm wondering if its worth it to get the channel for the season/preseason or if I should wait until their first game (Thanksgiving night game with Broncos/Chiefs!) and just carry it through the Playoffs and then drop the channel until next season.

Thoughts?

is it a per month charge or per season? how much is it?

I didn't think NFL Network was per-pay.. is it even offered for cable? I get it as part of the basic DirecTV package.

Dammit!

With the games coming to NFL Network, the biggest question for many in San Diego is... When will NFL Network come to Time Warner Cable? Depending where you live in San Diego dictates if you have Time Warner cable, which currently doesn’t carry the leagues 24/7 football channel. The NFL Network is available to Cox Cable, DirecTV and Dish Network subscribers in the San Diego area. And for many in San Diego they are hoping Time Warner will be added to the list before the opening kickoff next fall.

This was in January so hopefully the status has changed for me. Time Warner sucks.

Well, for this season I can't wait to see Vince Young play. I know he has a lot of critics but frankly I'm not given to speculation on this. I just want to see him play and play well. If he doesn't it'll be disappointing. He was such an exciting college player, I hope that translates to the NFL too. And it's pretty cool that he'll be playing alongside Lendale White - another great player (better than Bush in the Texas v USC game, IMHO).

Since we're on the fan thing - I am initially from Houston, but I have 0 faith in the Texans (they can't even choose a decent name!). Tennessee, being the former Oilers is up there, then the Bears and Steelers. I've moved around all my life so I don't see why I should support one team!

OK, the season has begun! Hall of Fame Game's on right now, Eagles vs. Raiders. Needless to say, I'd be happy if BOTH teams lost this game. (Even though it doesn't actually count.)

And my Panthers are gonna wipe the floor with all the rest of y'all this season... right, Stubeeef? :)

Seahawks will ruin their fun, once again. And maybe not be cheated out of a Super Bowl?

God I am so controversial.
The Seahawks are doomed. First, the Madden Curse is gonna get Shaun Alexander... and second, no Super Bowl loser has had a better-than-.500 season in a LONG time...

I'll be adding NFL Network soon on my ExpressVu HD

Big Ben, Ward and the Steelers will Defend their title this year & repeat...!!!
