Meanwhile, Sky Sports News are reporting that Newcastle's Charles N'Zogbia has released a statement that he's refusing to play for the club as long as Joe Kinnear is at the helm.

What, you want a link? Here you go, then.

What happened to the good old days when the player played for the club because that was what he was supposed to do...

This would lead me to believe you mix with Throstles, OllyW. Shocking stuff.

I haven't got a lot of choice, it's about 50-50 Wolves and Albion where I live.
It's good fun though, there's always loads of piss taking going on. :)

I've noticed that Mowbray has decided it is safe to lay into Styles now that Robinson's red card has been rescinded. He's obviously a bit smarter than the likes of Joe Kinnear. :D

I have no need to answer that, Arsenal have been in my family as long as I know.

Just the way you said a couple of things and for some reason posted a massive picture of the crest. I'm now assured you are a bona-fide season ticket holder, who supports the team home and away. In which case I hope you enjoyed your visit to North London earlier this season..

Well what gives you the right to ask me then??? Man United has been in my family for several generations!! Yes i am a bona-fide supporter.

No i don't have a season ticket but i goto the matches where i can get tickets and often buy them off people i know who are season ticket holders and can't go.

And I don't like your tone, you come over as very confrontational and hostile.... good luck with your supporting the <laugh>Gunners</laugh>

Apparently, we're due to announce a signing before the end of the day that'll 'blow your socks off'. Rumours abound as to the identity of this mystery signing, with Lyon's Brazilian striker Fred being mentioned around the message boards.

I really can't see that particular player coming here myself, but if anyone's footwear suddenly flies off their feet later on this afternoon please let me know. :p

^ My bet is for Zola to make a return to the game and ditch West Ham :D.

I would love to see Zola come one just once as a sub for the Hammers after all he is their best player :D:D:D:D

The Wednesday will be on espn360 tomorrow - Sat, Jan 31 12:20PM(EST) Football League Football League - Birmingham City vs. Sheffield Wednesday. They have a chat feature if any of you are interested. I'll be there.;)

I use the"Beta" version.

Kaka for a shock move to Hull. :D

Jaffa Cake said:
I reckon Liverpool getting a draw is a touch more likely. ;)

Yes...Thank you Jaffa. :rolleyes::D

I see that Milan are really serious about keeping Beckham. On the one hand, I couldn't care less if he left the MLS. On the other though, he is backing out of an agreement he spoke passionately about when he joined the league. Sure, I'm not so naive to take him at his word, but we are trying to grow this league, and Beckham abandoning his American wife for an Italian mistress is bad PR for MLS. I hope they fight to keep him, if only for the principle of the thing.

Well God does move in mysterious ways so it wouldn't be that big a shock. Look at the list of players god took to Hull:

Jay-Jay Okocha
Geovanni
And, best of all Saint Stuart Elliott. :)

He actually belongs to an obscure branch of Christianness that only has three churches in the UK - one in Belfast (where he's from), one near Motherwell (where he transferred to from Glentoran), and one in Hull (where he transferred from Motherwell). God moves in mysterious ways, Saint Stuart slightly less so.

Anyway, we owe this God bloke a hell of a lot in agent's fees...

I was shocked when Geovanni joined, and can only congratulate Hull for that signing - quite a coup!

At the moment I'm in a state of depression because tickets for the USA-Mexico WC qualifier sold out in under 90 minutes and I didn't get a ticket. It's maddening to know they'll be playing less than 2 hours drive from me and I can't go to the game.

I think I'm just going to drive down there and crawl inside the good football pub they have in Columbus and watch it there, since they have HDTVs.

...I didn't get a ticket.
Bugger.

However, in positive ticket news ours arrived today for next weekend. You see, me and Miss Jaffa Cake's brother are off to watch City maul/earn a battling point/suffer a narrow but dignified defeat/get our arses handed to us on a plate by Chelsea.*

We're in the Shed Upper – luckily, the Chelsea website has a rather useful bit where you can see what the view is like from the section where you'll be sitting, and if I'm right this'll be what we get to see...

Hopefully they'll be putting some goalposts up in the meantime.

Hopefully the Blues will be so demoralized by then by their crushing defeat to Liverpool they'll lay down and die without a fight. :D

Oh well, I can always pay $900 for them on ebay.

Columbus Crew stadium is a 25k seater or so, so it's no Wembley in terms of size.

No right, just curious. You are the exception in terms of United "fans" then, well done :) You have nothing to be so defensive about!

I don't really get the laugh bit. Sorry.

New Rumour:

Newcastle and Wigan are going to swap players. Ryan Taylor to Newcastle, N'Zogbia to Wigan.

Not sure how I feel about this one. Ryan Taylor is a solid player and hits a mean free kick. If Bruce can get the most out of N'Zogbia though, it might be a good swap.

Assuming Valenica stays (for now), it may be a good team with Valencia on the right wing and N'Zogbia on the left.

I had a blast yesterday just sitting in front of my MAC!!! The WEDNESDAY was on espn36O and I got to see them play live!!! First time ever!! We drew with Birmingham but we did lead for a few minutes. Well done Owls, well done. ;)
