Do you have a Hull jersey too?
I've got my collection of replicas of course, but I don't have any autographed or match worn shirts.

It's so nice of him to have donated a shirt from his youth football days.
Heh, it was actually one of the plain amber ones from last season. :D

We're not sure which game he actually wore it in, although we can say with absolute certainty it wasn't the play-off final as it doesn't have the embroidery – and of course the players aren't going to part with their shirts from such an occasion so easily.

Well I had the chance to go down to Old Trafford again today, but Carlisle are at home and I chose them after 5 losses in a row. Come on lads, make sure I made the right choice. :)

I'm a bit worried though that you've grown accustomed to the good life at Old Trafford, after your recent experience in a corporate box. Hopefully you can find a prawn sandwich vendor in the vicinity of the ground to help smooth the transition for you. ;)

Well after a first half of wasted chances I was worried about Arsenal, but by the end I thought the margin should have been higher. I'm not exactly brimming with confidence, though.

Well, looks like I was wrong about Kuyt, though last season he just couldn't find the back of the net. I'm a little worried that we leaked two goals, though Wigan has a good attack. I feel like we missed Torres and in his absence teams fear Liverpool's attack less and will be more willing to push forward against us.

Agger seems to have had a good game apart from the one (admittedly big) error, hopefully he'll keep things tight at the back until Skrtel is healthy again.

A total of what, 16 goals from the big four today? Looks like business as usual at the top.

Now here's a quandary. I'm getting ready for this afternoon's match against West Ham, and of course I'd normally wear my lucky shirt. However, the only two times I've seen City lose wearing it have been against teams whose names begin with 'A' - namely West Brom and Wigan.

So, do I take that as a warning and wear an alternative polyester rag, or do I trust the power of Teh Shirt to see us through this latest challenge?

Cripes. It's quite a poser.

WE'RE ALL AMBER AREN'T WE?

Wednesday game is nuts right now. Up 1-0 v Pigs and and have a one man advantage as well...

JJ sent off with a red card after he had already been subbed out!

JJ subbed and then received a red card as he was walking down the tunnel out for behavior ... what a dope.

So, that's four teams from the capital played – and Fulham, Arsenal, Spurs and now West Ham have all been on the receiving end of a mauling, so...

:D

Well I could give you Albion & Athletic but I was struggling with West Ham United. ;)
I believe they refer to themselves as 'ammers.

Another good win, did you risk Teh Shirt?
teh shirt™ was worn. Miss Jaffa Cake correctly pointed out that it's been worn when we've played and defeated other teams beginning with 'A' – er, I mean 'W'...
  • Watford (home – twice – and away)
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers (sorry, OllyW)
  • Erm... Wednesday.

You have to remember too that Phil Brown is a master tactician*– I'm sure he'll have factored in the effects of teh shirt™ into his Prozone stats and stuff. :p

Hello chaps, haven't posted in here for a while due to family problems, Rangers not playing for a while and Scotland virtually out of World Cup 2010.

So which one of you, IP address 86.131.234.244, have been editing Wikipedia?
The title 'London 0 Hull 4' also reflects, at 19th October 2008, the astonishing start to Hull City Football Club's debut season in the English Premier League, where it beat the first four London teams faced (being Fulham, Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham) to reach, at the time, third place in the table.

What on earth is going on at Spurs? Now, I've heard a lot of talk about how Ramos is under massive pressure at the moment, but it seems to me that Ramos is being unfairly singled out. A large portion of the blame should go to the director of football and whoever else was responsible for the shambolic handling of the transfer of Spurs' entire strikeforce. OK, Berbatov and Keane wanted to go and were always going to leave, but in retrospect it seems that Spurs' upper level management painted themselves into a corner by selling them too late to pick up suitable replacements. On top of that, Gus Poyet was recently quoted as saying that getting Bent and Pavlyuchenko to play together was "difficult".

To be fair, Spurs are massively under-performing now - despite the personnel changes they still have a decent squad on paper and should be good for a top half place IMO.

So, while Ramos does deserve criticism for the situation, I don't see why Daniel Levy and Damien Comolli should consider their jobs totally safe.

It is telling that Spurs are sitting below the macabre circus that is Newcastle. They had better start picking up points quickly or they could find themselves with a dangerous points deficit very soon.

I'm a little worried about crowd violence at the Liverpool - Atletico CL tie. I have a feeling things will get ugly...

EDIT: I notice, with glee, that Mourinho has labeled Drogba a diver. Duh!

Good night for the English teams last night although the reports from the Man U game sound interesting

A bizarre game at Old Trafford as Dimi Berbatov scored two offside goals and then Wayne Rooney scored a legitimate goal that was ruled out before he completed ManYoo's 3-0 win over Celtic.

Regarding Spurs I remeber hearing on the radio/Sky Sports news that only twice in history has a team with 2 points after 8 games have survived relegation. One of them being relegation dodgers Southampton. They do have the squad to get themselevs out of this problem however it seems as if the rot might have taken hold. With two first team players suspended and a tough upcoming fixture list

Udinese
Bolton
Arsenal
Liverpool
Dinamo Zagreb
Man City
Fulham

Add to that Ramos might be gone soon I think their first legitimate chance of a win is at Fulham which is 6 games away. Of course teams like this always end up beating Liverpool.

It was obvious to all and sundray that Berbatov was going to leave, it should've been done and dusted early on so that money could then be spent on a replacement. Pinning you hopes on Bent and an unproven striker is silly in the extreme. I think the sale of Keane and Berbatov had a big impact on morale as well.

I honestly think we will see a big club go down this season, looking at the bottom of the table

14 - Wigan
15 - Bolton
16 - Everton
17 - Fulham
18 - Stoke
19 - Newcastle
20 - Tottenham

Stoke's victory must be classed as a 6 pointer and a vital win to help keep them up and about those places because once you start langusihing at the bottom you end up like Derby. I think Stoke have 4 more points (3 from Spurs and 1 from Liverpool) than they were planning to have and that is a big boost. Fulham are just well Fulham.

Newcastle must be hurting that must by 3 clear goals to go above Sunderland when they play them in the derby.

Hull are still being brilliant

Chelsea
Liverpool
Hull City
Arsenal
Manchester Utd

:eek::D

They won't be there at the end of the season, perhaps might drop to 10th or so but whatever happens they won the hearts of the premiership, and vitally get the bonus money of staying the premiership and hopefully can craft their place in this league.

Looking forward to tonight although tonights fixtures are much harder than those faced by Man U and Arsenal lastnight.

Hello Fuzzy14 good to see you again, sorry to hear about the problems.

Amazing how bad Spurs are right now. You can't throw money at all of your problems.

The problem is they didn't even do this, as Lord Blackadder said above they left it far too late in the transfer window to even be in the position to spend money. This ultimately is their downfall.

Beckham to join AC Milan on loan.

As an added bonus for his dear wife Victoria Milan just happens to be a major fashion point of Europe.

I think Spurs could join the SPL and do quite well!
Last night was a great lesson in the gulf between English and Scottish fitba, even though two of the goals were offside Celtic were well and truely gubbed (and I wouldn't have expected Rangers to do any better.)
