Sounds like a great atmosphere but some of the "mauling" looks a little bit camp.
They're South Yorkshire's finest I'll grant you, but we all know the East Riding is bestest.but we're all Wednesday aren't we?![]()
Ah, but that's the idea.Sounds like a great atmosphere but some of the "mauling" looks a little bit camp.![]()
.
He and Voronin were both starting as forwards last season
Kuyt is brilliant.
I don't know about Giovanni (the Spurs player) but I'm sure Geovanni (the City player) will still be here in January. What do you think the chances that Giovanni will still be at Hull come the close of the transfer window in January.

After all, he reckons God told him to come here and you can't go arguing with Him, can you?![]()
Funnily enough, quite a few of our players have said similar things in recent years. The two who immediately spring to mind are Jay Jay Okocha and Saint Stuart Elliott. However, I suspect something is getting lost in translation and what they're all really saying is "God knows why I came to Hull!"WOW! That is Biblical!! A mission from God!

Pah! We have no such fear. Overturning convention and defying expectation are our speciality, after all. We've already won our first game of October, and I'll bet anyone a box of Jaffa Cakes (proper McVities ones too, mind) that Hull City won't be beaten this weekend either.Hull are doomed!
Phil Brown has been awarded the dreaded 'Manager of the Month', so I expect them to lose their next five matches.
Gerrard and Lampard seemed to have been given a lot of freedom to roam about last night, a luxury they're not going to be allowed against better quality opposition. Our midfield looked too packed, at times players were getting in each other's way.
laying into players and destroying their confidence further achieves nothing. I note the booing stopped and the crowd started cheering the team on once we started getting a few goals...
EDIT: Looks like everything turned out okay in the end for your boys, your Lordship 6-1 in the end.
Moyes have finally signed.
Hopefully this will help turn things around after the p...ee poor season start...
.Spanish club Barcelona are set to launch a bid with a Bolivian entrepreneur to become co-owners of a Major League Soccer franchise in Miami.
I don't know... the whole thing has just been a bit weird... and the insecurity must have influenced the team's performance so far this year.I wonder what took him so long. Holding out for more money? Eyes elsewhere?
I'm in total support of the footballing authorities punishing clubs in this manner where issues such as hooliganism and racist behaviour are concerned, but to take this action at such short notice when opposition supporters are coming from overseas is bang out of order. Once again, UEFA almost seem to be going out of their way to cause problems for English teams and their supporters.Uefa have decided to punish Liverpool fans in their effort to punish Althetico Madrid. What a joke. They have had a long time to decide this punishment and can even delay it for future games but so close to the match it only really hurts the Liverpool fans.
Interesting, wonder how this will develop.
I think it's a realistic proposition to make MLS a creditable "feeder" league where skilled young players can be loaned from larger clubs to an MLS club so they can get playing time. This will increase the quality of the league while also growing the sport in the states.
I think it's a delicate balance. On the one hand, forging links with some of the bigger European clubs may result in some promising young talent arriving in the MLS, but if it goes too far you could end up with the MLS being regarded as little more than a feeder league.
Also, one potential problem with European clubs loaning players is that these clubs often have links in place with clubs in some of the smaller European leagues. They then park non-European players there for a couple of seasons to help them get a passport for said country, dodging the whole work permit malarky. If European clubs send, say, African or Asian players to the States then that's not going to help their young starlets get their passport.
