Given all the hype at the end of last season...
whose season was more disappointing?

San Diego or Dallas

Both were expected by many to win their Conferences

Brett Favre ****ing sucks. I remember last year when he retired some people were saying he was a top 5 quarterback in NFL history. He's not even close. He's choked countless times when it actually mattered. That pick with about 5 minutes left today was probably one of the most retarded picks I've ever seen in the NFL.

The Patriots still had a hell of a season. When you consider that they lost the NFL MVP 7 minutes in to the first game of the season and his backup was a guy who hadn't started a game since high school, 11-5 is pretty damn good. Unfortunately, because the way the NFL does their playoff system, 11-5 isn't good enough to make it in this year (even though San Diego could make it in at 8-8).

At least we have the Bruins and Celtics with the best records in their respective leagues. :D

If you would have told everyone that the Pats would go 11-5 losing Brady and with Cassel at QB they would have laughed at you. Now he stands to be one of the hottest free agents for the off season. I don't know how well he will fare out of the Pats system, but regardless of what you think of Belichik, he did a helluva coaching job with this QB and team.

Ding dong the witches are dead.

Finally, a post season without the Packers, Pats, Cowboys, Bucs, Rams or Seahawks. That's all we've had for a decade now!

I for one am looking forward to a Cardinals and Dolphins Super Bowl.

You won't have to look past next Saturday when the Falcons roll the Cardinals

Yeah, the Cardinals looked like **** last week when I watched them playing the Pats.

I gotta root for Atlanta this year. Dimitroff used to work for the Pats, and Matt Ryan's from BC.

I think Matt Ryan is going to be the next great QB in the NFL. In 7 or 8 years when Peyton and Brady have retired and he's at his prime, he'll be the best in the league. He's definitely got the arm and most importantly the intelligence to play quarterback in the NFL.

I wouldn't mind seeing Baltimore in the AFC, since they also have a rookie QB. Plus you gotta appreciate Ray Lewis, one of the best linebackers in NFL history. I also wouldn't mind Tennessee. Jeff Fisher is one of the most underrated and one of the best coaches in the league, and he deserves a ring.

Fisher is a good coach
Pretty gutsy to bench VY and go with Collins, but it paid off in spades

I've never been able to get past the whole shady murder at the ATL Superbowl thing with Lewis

Chargers 10 Broncos 6
Anybody care?

I'm sure he's like fingernails on a chalkboard to some but I still think Madden is the most entertaining voice on TV. He makes crappy games (like this one) seem interesting.

Compared to the MNF crew,he's music to my ears..The guy was a helluva coach in his day. He's got the knowledge that a lot of these so called experts calling games lack..
What a crappy game...

Which was the worse choke job?
Jets or Broncos?

Broncos..I knew deep down,Favre and the Penguin would take the pipe. Favre tossed up his usual big game picks and the Penguin is clearly not meant to be a head coach..Big difference being a coordinator and sitting in the big chair..

They just said the Broncos are the first team to be in first in their division all year and then miss the playoffs on the last day of the season (if they lose). They have been inconsistent all year in an incredibly inept division.

Broncos did everything they could to lose the division. They could have put it away over the last few weeks and couldn't seal the deal. The fact that they are still playing for the division and playoffs on the last day of the year doesn't say much for the AFCW...

I miss Madden/Summeral. That was a great team. Micheals just talks to much about pointless stuff.

I would like to hear Caliendo as Madden and call a game.
