2008-09 NFL Season Thread

As Private Pyle said time and time again, "Surprise, surprise, surprise." That is why the play the games. Eagles look tough.
Now, what can the Chargers do against the #1 defense. In three hours we will know.
 
Playoff football is a whole different animal. Different mindset,level etc. Which is why regular season records,stats and seedings don't mean much once the playoffs start.Top seeds haven't fared too well in either conference the last few seasons...

why would that be the worst superbowl ever? there's been bad football played by "good" teams before. there's been good football played by "bad" teams too.

are you saying the last few weeks you have not been entertained by the playoffs?

Sad? i don't think so. They went last year. Once a decade is more than enough for those guys. We don't need Manning or Caughlin getting big heads or going to the hall of fame.

Frankly, they may never admit it but they let Burriss become a distraction. They haven't been the same since his arrest. And they really missed him today. He's probably the major reason why the Giants didn't win back to back championships.

That was last year....... Of course you still have the title recognition till super bowl..... so I will give you that.

If you do a search you will find the team I like............ Hint... we are in the same division.... and had a pretty good melt down this year lol...

No doubt there..I wonder if Lady Tomlinson will play in the post season again? Somehow even if Turner gets canned,he'll get yet another HC position..Why,I have no idea....

I wish Subway would buy splurge and buy a %$#@ $112.95 Aipek HD camera for their ads so I can watch my HD football without thinking someone took sandpaper to my screen. :mad:

I've watched that commercial before this game. It looked much better before. I don't know what happened that made it look that way.

man the steelers looked really good. they might be the favorites of the four teams to win it all.

as a cards fan, i really expected a first round exit at home. i thought yes it'll be nice to host a playoff game, but then get ready for the draft... no one expected this at all. my expectations have been low so i wouldn't get burned again, but i hope they do well against the eagles next week and even if we lose, it'll have been a great season.
