Jets win... barely.

Give us a Favre recap

Woof, Woof - Dawg

As someone who didn't see the game - I was struck by the Bills/Seahawks score.

Are the Bills that good? Or are the Seahawks that bad?

No style points in the Jet-Dolphin game. Favre sacked 3 times, Pennington 4. Jets 7 penalties, Miami 4. Each team with 3 fumbles.

The good - Favre used 8 different receivers and we held Ricky Williams to 24 yards on 10 carries.

That ball hit him in the leg.. I don't think he ever saw it.

He needs to be more aware. He completely lost the receiver on the long play which almost set up a touchdown to tie the game in the 4th qtr. Harrison is showing his age by trailing plays..Sanders is like Russian Roulette. I'd say the safeties are going to get worked hard in practice this week..

Example of how US and UK ads are so very different...

There's just been a Walmart on showing a Mom buying stuff for the game - it looks like a heart-attack waiting to happen. How many saturated fat, high calorie snacks can you fit in a shopping cart?

And I'm in shock that the Niners managed a 95 yard drive with a TD on the end! :D

There's such an emphasis over here on 'healthy eating' that they'd be ripped by the press if everything was pizza, chips, cheese and entirely processed. Most of our supermarket ads these days will have some element of fruit/veg and the provenance of the fresh stuff. Or they're talking about brands and prices or services they offer. There are regulations stopping junk food ads being shown at certain times of day.

The only time we'd get seriously unhealthy food is around Christmas when they all advertise their booze deals - and even that's frowned on these days.

I think I'd have been less shocked if it was a bunch of guys shopping for their football weekend - it was the fact it was sold as Mom doing what's right for her family that kind of jarred. ;)

The Cowboys look rusty. I can't remember the last time they dropped so many balls. Romo has all day to throw the ball but they barely have 14 points.

Maybe they should get Jessica to play. I doubt if she drops any.

The Pats barely got a win today, and that was against the Chiefs bench QB. If pretty boy is out for a while it might be a long season.

Looked like a zone to me, but I'm not completely sure. I think Meriweather was supposed to release coverage to Sanders, and Sanders just ****ed it up badly. Meriweather didnt play it perfectly though, but it also might be because he was playing as the nickelback instead of safety.

Gave up 4 sacks, 2.9 yard rushing average, 3 catches by wide receivers, interception in the end zone with the game at hand -- here we go again with another dismal Dolphin year.

WOW!! What an end to the Charger's/Panter's game  Panthers with the game winning TD as time expires..

Edit:
Going to be a long season here if this is true:
While New England coach Bill Belichick said in his postgame press conference that he had no update on the status of Brady’s injury, a source close to the quarterback indicated it involved serious damage to the knee. That could include a torn anterior cruciate ligament and perhaps other ligament and cartilage damage.

“It’s bad,” a team source said. “We’re going to have to play without him.”

WEEI: Brady has torn ACL
WEEI’s Ron Borges is reporting that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady suffered a torn ACL today, citing an NFL source close to the situation. If true, Brady is likely done for the season.
