It's funny how the fans (myself included) and media are. When USC put the hurt on OSU, everyone said they were unbeatable. Florida is indeed looking very good, but it's easy to forget that fortunes can turn in a heartbeat. I wouldn't mind seeing Florida get knocked down a peg either. :)

All Gator Haters™ are welcome!

They are not unbeatable... but you have to be ready for them
If 'Bama hits them in the mouth and gets after Tebow, they can win
If they get behind early... they will lose and lose big
They have to neutralize the speed of Florida and control the clock

The Dawgs had them in the first half... even though they were behind
We missed our red zone opportunities and our kicker sucked to boot
But we could move the ball
The officials hurt us, but that is another story

The pick to start the second half broke our backs and then we were playing catch up from there... not a good place to be

So ROLL TIDE... jump them early!! Like you did to Clemson and Georgia!
Then hold on for dear life in the 4th quarter!!

Oh yeah... and beat Auburn first :eek:

I've had Florida picked since the preseason, so I guess I'm one of those that are counting Alabama out.

But honestly, even though it would completely screw over my predictions, I wouldn't mind seeing Alabama spank the Gators. Not only would it put everyone outside of 'Bama in their place, but it would also likely put Urban Meyer up against his old Utah Utes.

That would add some extra spice to the Sugar Bowl for sure. :)

And for the record evilgEEk, I'm pulling for an Oregon win this weekend. Though an Oregon State win would look great for the Utes, we want to go to the Fiesta Bowl. An Oregon win would almost certainly guarantee it, keep USC in the Rose Bowl against the Big 10 where they belong!

If 'Bama pulls it off in the SEC Championship Game what do you think your chances are against Florida SLC?
 
My question is what happens if OU loses to OSU today. That would put Texas Tech the winner of the big 12 south and more than likely the big 12.

What do you do about the NC then because the National champaign ship should come from the Big 12 and SEC this year.

It would be a huge mess because Texas Tech have a legit claim to that game saying they only lose to another very high rank team (and at the time only Big 12 and SEC was between them and the team that beat them)

They would have beating both UT and the BIG champion over UT as well.

What I think would be hilarious is if Missouri ends up winning the Big 12. It seems like everyone has written them off, myself included.

Here's a question for those of you in conferences where this is relevant. Heh.

Can two teams from the same conference play for the BCS National Championship Game?

Holy second half, Batman!

Granted we were supposed to win this game, but that's not what was fun. It was a great night sending off our star RB Ian Johnson. He tied Marshall Faulk tonight for most TD's in a career in the WAC, and with one more game to play he'll probably surpass him. :)

A great game to end the season.

Now Oregon needs to beat Oregon State tomorrow and then we can start the outrage of Ohio State being chosen over us for the Sugar Bowl. ;)

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

I seem to be the only one here...

It looks like Clemson will salvage their season a little and actually be bowl eligible. The game isn't over yet, but they seem to be dominating South Carolina.

And it looks like Georgia might be in trouble. Again, still 2 minutes left in the third, but with GT on the doorstep again it doesn't look good.

Georgia looked a little dead out there this afternoon. :48 left in the game down by three, it sure doesn't look good.

Alabama vs. Auburn will be good, but don't forget to cheer on Oregon over Oregon State at 7pm EST!

Paul Johnson has given you a great season and made it a rivalry again

We need a new defensive coordinator... our defense has been abysmal all year. I'm afraid Richt will stay loyal to his guy though. We gave up big play after big play today. Hats off to Tech, but really... we could not tackle. Tech did not drive on us, they just had big play runs. And in the end, we could not keep them from a first down to get the ball back.

It has been a disappointing year to say the least. :(

The good news? We aren't Tennessee or Auburn or even LSU :eek:

And gee... Lane Kiffin??
Tennessee looks to be irrelevant for at least 4 years now

I always joked that Crazy Al Davis thought he was hiring Monty Kiffin the Dad when he hired Lane Kiffin! Ha! Ha! What a lame hire that was. He was an assistant at USC, but wasn't even a play caller... no head coach experience. The word is that he will bring his Dad from Tampa to coach the defense. I don't think that will work... the college game is so different. Bill Callahan is also rumored to be coming as a coordinator. Yeah, that worked out well at Nebraska.

I think Tennessee panicked when nobody wanted the job and they screwed up. Fulmer to Kiffin? Where is the upgrade in that? Yes, he is young (33), but he has no appeal in the south for recruiting and he has had no success to build on by reputation.

As a Dawg fan... I'm happy :)

I gave up on the Auburn Alabama game after the second consecutive turnover. Now I'm watching the Baylor Texas Tech game. Wow! Baylor has been hangin in there! A Baylor victory would be crazy!

Oh and I'm not missing the Oregon game. I'm usually a Duck hater, but not today.

Those that have been watching the game, does Tech seem to still have a hangover from last week's blowout?

From what I have seen Texas has been playing well (but I came to the game late). It's currently the middle of the fourth and it looks like Texas is going to score to be ahead by a touchdown.

Edit: and there it is. Texas is up 35-28 with about 6:00 left in the game.

Well, Texas and Texas Tech took care of business. Does anyone have any reason to believe OK State will win tonight?
 
So 'Quizz Rodgers is on the sidelines. Had he been playing I would think Oregon State would handle the Ducks, but with him out I think the game is wide open.

Not only do I want the Ducks to win, but I think they have the upper hand in this matchup.

slight hang over and had to adjust to losing Crabtree

some time in the 2nd quarter. I did not start watching the game until near the end of the 3rd because I was just checking the score.

I just hope he heals up and is back quickly and of course OU loses tonight.
