Sorry thechidz. That one had to hurt. I was watching the twins-white sox, but had an eye on the brewers-cubs. Man, back to back to tie, then Russell Branyan sends one to tie it again, but all for not. Solo home runs can only get you so far... Fun game to watch for someone like me who no personal stake.

And also, I'm not talking about the World Championship Red Sox teams, I'm talking about this year. This year when Manny has assaulted members of the organization, potentially exaggerated injuries, badmouthed his team and a myriad of other distracting antics... all while the BoSox are in second place and only two games over the Yankees.

The media is who is making it distracting. Also, the faking injury thing is ********. Manny was diagnosed with tendonitis in his knee in 2006. That can just crop up randomly without warning. While he should have handled it better (telling tito earlier and telling the trainers), he didn't fake the injury. It should also be noted that Manny is tied with Youk for 2nd in games played (98, Pedroia leads with 105). He's played more games than Tek, Lugo, Lowell, Ellsbury, Crisp, Drew.

Last night (I was at the game) Manny had 3 of the 5 RBI, including a HR. So yeah, he's definitely hurting the team. If the rest of the offense would have stepped up, they would have won that game. Manny did his part.

The fans are also full of ****. The first two times he came up to bat, it was about half cheers and half boos. Then in his 2nd at-bat he smacks a 2-rbi single to RF, and all of the boos magically disappeared! Meanwhile, the ****wit fans continue to cheer endlessly for Ellsbury even when he strikes out with the bases loaded.

Angels are playing great ball. As always,it's going to come down to which team has the best pitching come October..Wind out of the west tonight should carry the ball a bit..
Dan Roche on WBZ TV just reported the Sox and Dodgers are talking in regard to a Manny trade..We shall see...

Negotiate Trading Manny To Dodgers
BOSTON (WBZ) ? The Red Sox are in negotiations with the L.A. Dodgers about possibly sending Manny Ramirez to them in a trade, WBZ's Dan Roche learned.

In return, the Red Sox would get one of the Dodgers' top young players such as Andre Ethier, Matt Kemp or James Loney.

The trade would be a big splash for Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, should the team pick up Ramirez.

Anyone watching the Yanks game???

Really bad pics taken from my iPhone off the tv.

I'm watching the game with my cousin and he's like "what the..... rewind that... did I see what I thought I just saw???"

Good 'ole Micheal Kay, after about an inning, finally says something to the affect of that Giambi was "gesturing" that he missed his line drive.

Nothing serious - I just that it was funny.

hahaha, lackey must feel like ****.. his no-no broken up by a midget.

The angels were my pre-season pick and look like the far and away front runner now. I'm a little surprised that Teixiera only went for Kotchman and a AA pitcher. Guess the market wasn't that open.

Carlos Delgado has been insane this month. Batting over .370 in July. In his last 13 games he has 7 homers and 19 RBIs. A two run homer tonight helped the Mets to a win. :D

Also, this Dodgers and Giants game is great. First two runs scored in the bottom of the 6th.

I felt they, the Angels, were the WS fave without doing anything anyway. I don't see how this helps( I know it doesn't hurt them either).
They were already very, very good.

I do see that it kept anyone else from grabbing him...

Mark Teixeira
2008 Atlanta Braves 103 381 63 108 27 0 20HR 78RBI .283

They could possibly re-sign him if they win... Definitely makes them the team to beat though...

Teixeira has some sock for sure, but his career average isn't all that impressive. Still a tough out. Everybody will have a chance to sign him next year, when he can demand huge bucks and a long contract.
