It looks like Texas dodged a bullet keeping the score within a tuchdown. I have to leave for Vegas in about an hour (going to watch my Utes play UNLV) so I won't be able to finish this game. Maybe I can find it on the radio somewhere.

PS - And a fumble! Texas ball!

Wow. What is it with these fumbles in this game? Can no on hold on to the ball. Also, both team's offensive lines look just down right ugly. This is definitely not how I expected this game to turn out. Also, Colt McCoy look absolutely frazzled. If OU was a little more in the game right now he'd have multiple interceptions on him.

P.S. Yikes, and it looks like Texas gives up yet another fumble in this game.

P.P.S. Yikes again. Another fumble. What happened to ball security?

Another dropped ball. Is this ball made out of Crisco?

I don't know what the deal is. It's like nerves are a problem or something.

EDIT: Welp, we got the win. It was ugly, but I'll take it! Tomorrow, I don't like winning the bet with Bradford hurt again. If you want out, I'm cool with it.

well it was nice watching OU loss.

Right now Texas Tech is kicking the snot out of rank 15 Nebraska

24-3 at the half tech leading.

Looks like Nebraska is going to loose its ranking.

It worked out to be a good day.

OU losses to Texas (I just like watching OU lose)

And Texas Tech beats Nebraska. Not just beats Nebraska but dominates them

My poor Hogs. We almost did it but shot ourselves in the foot.

Petrino and gang are on the rise. Watch out SEC.

Just got back from the Texas State Fair. Didn't go to the game, just the fair, but it's always cool to be there and be a part of the experience even if you're not in the actual stadium. I must say it was much quieter this year than it has been in the past. I guess the low scoring affair and the close game kinda kept everyone on edge.

Just tryin' to be a good sport. It's pretty damn hard when you're married to the enemy, though ;)

Oh yeah! I forgot about your wife. Smart woman. :p

It's always nice to beat OU, but the game really exposed us as not a legitimate BCS team - at least until we get the offense's problems worked out.

i dunno, i dont think any team is that great this year

overall, the quality of college football has been dissapointing to me at least

VT loses, UF barely beats arkansas, NU gets humiliated, KU is got exposed by a weak CU team, Texas hasnt had a great game yet, etc

OU student here. Went to the game today. If there was any doubt, it was cleared today. The 2009 season is one in which the football gods are feeding us a big old slice of humble pie. I loved the atmosphere as usual, and it was a heck of a close game, but in the end OU was beaten by the better team. I hated to see Bradford re-injure the shoulder.

Murphy's Law has dominated for OU in 2009. LB Mike Balogun ruled inelgible for the year. Gresham goes out for year. Bradford goes down. O-Line is not as good as thought. Lose 2 games by 2 points, even with our freshman backup QB playing. Bradford comes back, then nope, back out. Even with that, OU loses to Texas by a field goal. Three loses by a combined 5 points. :(

What scares me is that OU now has road games versus Kansas, Nebraska, and Texas Tech and Oklahoma State at home, none of which seem that easy with Bradford out. The season could teeter out of control if we aren't careful.

Yeah but only Oklahoma State really poses a challenge to Texas the rest of the year. It looked like Missouri might be good again (nope) or Kansas might be decent (nope) or A&M might be able to pull off the upset again (definitely not). So even though Texas isn't a "great" team, the Big 12 is not what it has been recently, so the Horns might be able slop their way to the BCS title game. I would not like their chances against Bama or UF (right now), though.

Kind of the same story as above. Even though the O-line is bad and Bradford is hurt, the schedule isn't as daunting as it would seem. KU and NU should be wins but the other two will be tough. Still, I'd be surprised it OU doesn't come out of those games 3-1 and finish the regular season 8-4. Definitely not up to their standards, but not a terrible year considering all that's happened. It could be a LOT worse (you haven't forgotten 1998 already, have you?).

BSU didn't fall so much as they got jumped. It can happen to any team.

They'll definitely "fall" after Wednesday's pathetic performance.

What kills me is that I think the players did a pretty good job. Obviously there were some mistakes (2 fumbles), but overall I think we played pretty solid. We even had just three penalties, which was a vast improvement compared to past games. What kept the game close was extremely conservative play calling. Our QB is rated the second highest in the nation in passing efficiency, and yet we're running the ball for 1-2 yard gains on every down with over four minutes left in the game! Why are we doing that?? Pass the ball!!

Others may not see the conservative play-calling, but if you ask anyone that has watched Boise State football for any number of years they will tell you that this year's team is playing VERY conservative football.

I just don't get it. It's like we're not playing to win this year, we're just playing not to lose.

Oh well. I'll be happy if we stay in the Top 10.

Virginia Tech helped us out there, and Notre Dame nearly did! But that's okay, USC will plummet when Oregon beats them in Eugene on Halloween. :D

So Florida barely survives Arkansas. I think that was their only real test left on their schedule. Obviously anything can happen, but I'm sure they'll go undefeated in to the SEC Championship game. But the funny thing is that I think Alabama will take them. Florida really hasn't been as dominant as they have been in the past, and I think Alabama gets better every week.

So as long as Texas gets past OK State, I think it will be Alabama and Texas in the BCS title game. And I think the Trophy will remain in the SEC.

It will be interesting to see how the BCS Rankings shape up tomorrow.
