Nah I'm just kidding. I've been to several games in Austin (though not since the latest remodel) and it's a great venue for football. The only Pac-10 stadium I've ever been to was the Rose Bowl (for a UCLA game) and I was not as impressed as I have been with A&M, Texas, LSU and OU.

I like our stadium, although it's not nearly as loud as Kyle. That place is nuts. ;)

I enjoy Pac-10 ball, but it's disheartening to see only 40K or so in the Rose Bowl to watch UCLA (I've been to two games this season). I wouldn't mind seeing a game up at Oregon to see what that's like.

It's really at its best when the defense is playing well. Hopefully the arrival of Tim DeRuyter and the return of the 3-4 will get it back to where it's supposed to be.

A&M has home-and-homes scheduled with USC (2015 and 2016) and Oregon (2018 and 2019). Hopefully those games will actually happen and I'll be able to go see games at the Coliseum and Autzen Field.

DE Jackson Jeffcoat (#2 H.S. player in the nation) is going to announce his verbal commitment Sunday night. Looks like it's probably going to be between Texas and Oklahoma.

Everyone I know assumed it was going to be OU because his dad Jim (former Cowboys player; currently a coach at UH) supposedly interviewed for a job at OU, but as of now he still hasn't been hired. This will be interesting...

ESPN is reporting that Tebow has a horrible first day at the Senior Bowl
Working under center he fumbled the first snap and 5 or 6 more during the day
Word is his footwork, mechanics and accuracy were abysmal

Woof, Woof - Dawg

yea that pretty much sucks for him. i'm really hoping that the rams pick Ndamukong Suh with the 1st overall pick and end up pickin up tebow somewhere down the board. i dont care about his mechanics, the dude is a gamer! he just finds a way to win and thats not something that you can teach.

He's a part-time QB at best in the NFL. Some team is going to get suckered almost as badly as the Titans did four years ago.

It's clear we have a difference of opinion, but I don't think QB play was the only problem for Tennessee at the beginning of the year. A big part of their turnaround was Chris Johnson getting going and the defense stepping up after they had a bye week to work on things.

A guy that averages about 180 passing per game and has 12 TDs (10 pass, 2 rush), 7 INTs and 8 fumbles just doesn't do it for me. And against better defenses, he has been atrocious.

But Bud Adams clearly has forced Jeff Fisher to run Young out there, so we'll get to see what he can do with a full season (or half a season before he gets benched again).

Yeah, I don't think Tebow has been inspiring at all. I haven't heard much about the last two days of practice though, has he improved?

I'm loving all the positives about former Boise State CB Kyle Wilson though! He's such a great guy, so I'm really happy for him.

This Saturday will officially be the end of the '09-'10 season....

What do you guys think? Was it a good year?

Did any of you see any of the "decade" polls/stories on espn.com? What do you think?

Of this decade, who is:

Best coach?

Best program?

Best "rise from the ashes" program?

Biggest flop of a program?

Best Coach:
I would have to say Saban. Two tiles at 2 different schools is an accomplishment. Carrol is close second. Meyer (Utah and UF) is right there as well

Best Program:
1) USC
2) Florida
3) Miami

Best Rise from Ashes Program:
Tie between BSU and Utah...finally getting recognition and showing it on field

Best Flop of Program:
I would have to say Nebraska as a Nebraska fan. Since 01 NC game, they only just recently rebounded

However, I would also argue ND for sure. What a joke

Greatest Game:
1) UT-USC Rose bowl
2) BSU-OU

Dammit! Friggin' Aggie. ;)

Feel the love :D

Of this decade, who is:

Best coach?

1. Pete Carroll
2. Nick Saban
t3. Mack Brown
t3. Bob Stoops

Best program?

1. USC
2. Texas
3. OU
4. Florida
5. Boise St. (considering where they were in 2000, where they are now is incredible)

Best "rise from the ashes" program?

Texas - the 90's were not kind to them but they were at/near the top every year of this decade

Biggest flop of a program?

Sadly, Texas A&M. The 90's saw the Aggies go 94-28-2, win less than nine games just twice (6-6 in '96, 8-4 in '99) and win six conference or division championships. The 00's saw them fire their winningest coach ever and go 63-61 with just one nine-win season in the decade. They also had 4 losing seasons in the decade (4-8 in '03, 5-6 in '05, 4-8 in '08, 6-7 in '09) after not having one since 1982.

Good riddance to the Aughts.

^^ how can you not include Meyer?

He has won 2 national titles and had an undefeated year at Utah as well

More than Mack Brown and Stoops accomplished

Texas and OU over Florida? how?
How are you also forgetting the utter dominance of Miami in the early parts of this decade? jw

Hey I love the Big 12 too but comeon lol:p

^^ how can you not include Meyer?

Gotta side with you on this one - he's had a great past 10 years. I'd actually give him the nod over Carroll, personally.

Texas and OU over Florida? how?

That's not so much of a stretch.

Since the 2000 season:

Florida: 100-30 overall, 3 conference championships, 2-0 in NC games
Texas: 110-19 overall, 2 conference championships, 1-1 in NC games
Oklahoma: 110-24 overall, 6 conference championships, 1-3 in NC games.

Not to suggest that Florida isn't a top-tier program, they clearly are; but it isn't hard to argue that Texas and Oklahoma have been overall more successful over the past 10 years.

Brain freeze. I should have had him on there between Saban and Stoops/Brown.

Hey I love the Big 12 too but comeon lol:p

Texas and OU were both great for the whole decade. Florida has had an up-and-down decade (relatively speaking). That's why I put them above. Yes, Florida won two championships to the other teams' one, but...

...OU finished ranked in the top 10 seven times in the decade (and 11th one other time), finished with fewer than 10 wins only twice (8-4 in 2005 and 8-5 in 2009, played in seven BCS games and four national championship games.

...Texas finished ranked in the top 10 seven times in the decade (and never finished below 13th), finished with fewer than 10 wins only once (9-3 in 2000), played in four BCS games and two national championship games.

...Florida finished ranked in the top 10 five times in the decade (and finished unranked twice), finished with fewer than 10 wins five times (8-5 in 2002 & 2003, 7-5 in 2004, 9-3 in 2005 and 9-4 in 2007), played in five BCS games and two national championship games.

As for Miami...7-6 in '06, 5-7 in '07 and 7-6 in '08 eliminate them from this discussion.

It would appear that the Justice Department is getting involved in the BCS system under the guise of antitrust issues and pushing for a playoff system.

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration is considering several steps that would review the legality of the controversial Bowl Championship Series, the Justice Department said in a letter Friday to a senator who had asked for an antitrust review."

I think this is ridiculous in my opinion

Best coach?

1. Saban
2. Meyer
3. Carroll
4. Mack Brown
5. Chris Petersen

Best program?

1. USC
2. Texas
3. Florida
4. Oklahoma
5. Boise State

Best "rise from the ashes" program?

Texas - I agree with Ignatius here

But if we go for "rise from nothing" then obviously I'll go with the non-AQ's with:

1. Boise State
t2. Utah
t2. TCU

The level of respect (or lack thereof) was zero at the turn of the century, but now these programs finally demand respect.

Biggest flop of a program?

I'm voting Michigan. Wow.

Greatest Game:
1) UT-USC Rose bowl
2) BSU-OU

Agreed here.

I think this is ridiculous in my opinion

Not only is it ridiculous, it's also meaningless. It's a formality and nothing more.

Of this decade, who is:

Best Coach:

Urban Meyer
Nick Saban
Pete Carrol
(away from the big 5 I'd go with Either Chris Peterson or Kyle Wittingham with a preference for Wittingham for playing in the tougher conference and killing Bama)

Best Program:

USC
Texas
Tie between Bama and Florida
Utah

Best rise from the ashes program:

BYU

Biggest Flop of a program:

Either of the Washington schools (UW or WSU)

SLC
