Full Champions League Groups:
Group A: Bayern Munich, Juventus, Bordeaux, Maccabi Haifa
Group B: MANCHESTER UNITED, CSKA Moscow, Besiktas, Wolfsburg
Group C: AC Milan, Real Madrid, Marseille, FC Zurich
Group D: CHELSEA, FC Porto, Atletico Madrid, APOEL
Group E: LIVERPOOL, Lyon, Fiorentina, Debrecen
Group F: FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Dinamo Kiev, FC Rubin Kazan
Group G: Sevilla, RANGERS, Stuttgart, Unirea
Group H: ARSENAL, AZ Alkmaar, Olympiakos, Standard

Arsenal and Man U have real easy groups, the other English teams should also be pretty confident though. I'd say Chelsea might have the hardest time of the four.

Utd are known to be slow starters...They will be at the top end of the season

None of the big four are without their flaws, but I still see Chelsea as the least flawed of the group. That, and it appears they are adapting well to Ancelotti's formation and tactics, so they're still the team to beat IMO.

Arsenal has come out very strongly themselves. Vermaelen is making more of a difference on the back line than many anticipated. If some of their attackers can stay healthy they'll be right in the hunt.

Hopefully United can keep building on their performance in the second half against Wigan and SAF keeps going with a squad that gets results, unlike the one he sent onto the pitch against Burnley.

Can't wait for Saturday, though I'm not sure I'm getting the match on TV here.

Group B easy? Away in Russia and Turkey, and Wolfsburg the defending Bundes Liga Champions - currently 4th.

Cheers,
OW

I agree that those ties are not "easy" (well this is the Champions League, isn't it?), but Lyon and Fiorentina are IMO tougher ties than the Turkish and Russian sides, even if the location is closer. Wolfsburg could be interesting though.

As said the diving is nothing new, look at Drogba...built like a brick s**t house yet goes down so easily! Spoils the game IMO. I think Eduardo should of been sent off for that dive (I have seen others go for less desent) and i think it would of been a totally different game. As i think the Celtic player's head dropped.

In that case, I think Boruc should have been sent off for his ridiculous failed attempt at a scissor kick, and for his pathetic dance on the goal line when the penalty was taken.

In fact, just send off the entire Celtic team for their constant cheating, diving, and hacking during matches.

I sense a hint of bias in your comments. ;)

Lord Blackadder,

I'm looking more at -

Turkey = hostile crowd - should get a positive result though, and

Russia = travel + weather.

Have the fixtures been released?

Lyon - apparently Lisandro has settled in well.

Cheers,
OW

I'll bet that means he's really happy with how Group G in the Champions League is looking.

Yes, at first glance, I have to say Rangers got the biggest breaks in the group assignments. Bayern Munich got a rough draw, not that their own lackluster play will help them through if they don't turn it around soon.

According to his Twitter page, Jozy went out for sushi with 'his boy Ghilas' last night. Clearly, our fledgling strike force are bonding and are probably forging a telepathic understanding over seaweed rolls ahead of this weekend's Wolves trip.

Be afraid, OllyW - be very afraid. :p

I'm not sure about the availability of raw fish and vinegar rice in Wolvehampton, but he might like to sample a Balti pie while he's down here.

As for the match, I'm always afraid, no matter who we are playing.

Fish oil is goof for your brain and your joints... they'll be thinking, and flipping and twisting and turning out the goals!

Hull is Britain's cod liver oil capital, although you'd think not given how often our player's knee joints seem to pack in.

I hope you have an enjoyable trip to Old Trafford XIII, although I found the away end a bit cramped last year. If memory serves you're a tall lad so hopefully you won't be in one of the 'corner' seats...

Defo a Rangers fan or just dont like Celtic lol!

I dont think you can have a easy group when your in the Champs league. You have to adapt to the teams different style of play, as english/ spanish and Italian teams play different...

Lord blackadder...Yes, i cant wait for that game! Gonna be interesting, but i dont think that it will decide much in the long run tbh.

Eduardo has been found guilty of deceiving the ref against Celtic. Breaking News at BBC.

Hopefully this means that in the future any diving in all UEFA sanctioned matches will result in a two match ban.

And I presume the SFA (with their banhammer in hand) will be carefully watching all future Celtic matches for any of their players cheating?

Haha yes, 6ft 6. I've been once before to Old Trafford.

Charging Eduardo is a dangerous precedent to set.

Unfortunately, they won't. For some reason, Celtic seem to get away with everything. As Wenger alluded to in his interview today, when Celtic repeatedly foul with shirt pulling or pushing players, it's called 'clever' by the media.
