Let me guess... this is the first time you've watched Team Canada these Olympics? Just to fill you in, Broduer gift wrapped 3 goals for the Americans in the round robin stage.

This thread needs to be closed. Hockey is the only thing that can turn Apple Fan-Boys against one another :p

Ha told ya! Congrats Canada! Next time it will be Finland though. History in the making, all the 3 countries won the same medals in hockey, both women and men. :)

Is anyone else shocked at who scored the goal? I mean really? Who else would have done it? Who else does the NHL want to stamp onto this tournament ?

The only way this could have happened is Sydney Crosby doing this on purpose. HOW?! HOW?! He is quiet all tournament, then when it really matters he scores!!!!!!! I'm sorry team Canada for ever doubting you!!!:eek:

Americanized.

Not quite. I just don't bail on plans.

However, I was participating in a very American activity......

 You cant be serious Surely! Pfft, im going to watch your boys live and your not? Nah ah, cant be happening...

Heh-heh...... I had plans that I didn't want to break. I recorded the game and watched it when I got home. It was live to me...... :D

2 goals.

And I still think he should have started. What was the deal with Luongo's inability to catch the puck today?

I may have even put Fleury in there. It's not like he's gone to the Stanley Cup for the past two seasons, or won it this past season.

He's the real money goalie.

Brodeur has been shaky, that's why he was pulled. Luongo has been fine.

Obviously, Luongo was good enough.

WAY TO GO CANADA!!!! WAY TO WIN THE GOLD AT HOME!!!

It was nice to have some new "faces" in this thread.... hopefully some of you will stick around for the rest of the NHL season that restarts tomorrow!

Thanks, i know right, i almost cried when Slovaks made few goals in the 2nd, but Jokinen definitely saved us.

See fellow finnish here "Hellhammer"!

robo, whos your kid?

Yeah Jokinen was in fire though he wasn't in the other matches. Nobody never expects Finland to fight for the medals but somehow they do in every olympics

Great to see some other Finns here as well, have seen less than 10 within my membership though I recommend this site to a lot people in Finland as well :)

Gold went for the right country, Canada is the dominator in hockey! I wonder hoe Finland would've managed in the final against Canada :D

Surely
Congrats to your boyz:cool: Why did it have to be that punk Crosby:mad::D

On a side note, my kids high school varsity team won the gold medal in the city championship game last night:)

At least I have one gold medal to show for...;)

Peace

Well, until then you're more than welcome to stick around and post pics of you in hockey-related situations.....:D;)

**** cindy crosby. of all people why did it have to be him? it wasnt even a good goal.

still one of the best games I've ever seen.

unfortunately, the tournament is over and we have to go back to the NHL

Will you do the same? ;)

I'll think about it..... :D

Just to piss you off. :D

It was a good-enough goal.:p

It was a really good game, wasn't it?

I'm looking forward to the continuation of the season. Maybe the league should contract down to 16-20 teams- the level of play would be closer to that of the Olympics.....

I'd be looking forward to the rest of the season if the Bruins didn't suck. And I don't think the NHL really needs to cut down that many teams, they just need to move the teams out of the south (Phoenix, Florida, Tennessee) and back to Canada. Nobody in the south wants to watch ICE hockey.

They definitely need to move those teams.

Well, maybe 16-20 is a bit of an exaggeration. The talent pool is a little watered down, and I think that if they contracted to 26 instead of staying at 30, the level of play would increase. I'd bet that there are 110-120 players in the league that we wouldn't miss much.

With that being said, it ain't gonna happen, so I'll just continue to enjoy the NHL as it is.

And, being a Leafs fan, I feel your Bruins pain.:(
