How do you guys think the next 2 series will turn out?

I have to say Montreal in 6-7, due to Leighton not having much experience and how hot Halak/Cammaleri are.

As for the Chicago/San Jose series, I still have to go with San Jose in 6. Chicago's youth will catch up with them, and Pavelski is on a role.

Attached is something I saw the other night at the Habs game; it overlooks the Bell Center (Its giant, about 12x12)

Montreal and San Jose will make an EXCELLENT Stanley Cup Final...

Montreal beat the Caps as the lower seed.
Montreal beat the Pens as the lower seed.
I'm afraid that as magical as the Flyers have been, with all of their injuries, they can't stop the Habs.

I heard they may have or get Markov back. And that will not help the Flyers chances at all.

San Jose/Chicago? Hard to say. Chicago has chopped through some very good goaltending. I'd like to see Chicago win, but I do think that San Jose is dirty enough, and skilled enough, to hold off the Hawks.

So I'm picking Habs/Sharks, with a Sharks win for the Cup at this point.

Game 2/3 I heard on TSN. He is a real help to the team (There's stats with and without Markov; with him the habs are something like 28-10-3 with him and without him they are 13-23-5). When he was first diagnosed with his injury, he was supposed to be out until December 2010 lol, talk about wanting to play.

Either way, there is no chance I miss any of these games; they will be too intense.

If my watching causes goals against like it did this series, I will watch replays.

But it will hurt me deeply. I already know that I'm working during game 4, we've got a consultant doing a $250K+ installation on Saturday, and the sysadmins are all in to make sure that it goes well, and that all of the systems are taken care of in case it goes horribly wrong. :(

Holy crap. I'm watching a recorded copy of the Flyers/Sabres series from 1997. And they go to game 5.

AND IT'S ***** FOXTRAX.

I nearly puked. People think I hate Fox just because of Fox News. No. It goes WAY back for me. Red lines and sound effects when people shoot the puck? They should have lost their FCC license.

Did it have the glowing puck lol.

I am glad that the ratings for the playoffs have been on the rise, because without a doubt, the NHL playoffs are the best in the business. If more people would just go to NHL games in the States, they would be hooked.

This postseason has been amazing. The Habs are on a hell of a run right now, and I dont see them stopping until they get to the finals. For all the Hab Homers, they will not beat the Sharks or Hawks.

Yes. When the puck was up against the near boards, there was the glowing puck. Oh it was bad.

The potential fans absolutely are missing out. But when the games are only on Versus, and are picked up in progress because there's one whole channel in the USA for hockey during the week, it's impossible for many to see the game. My brother can't afford cable right now. So he gets to see games once in a while when they're on NBC.

I'm lovin' every minute of it.

Dude
I know its only game one but come on;) Halak looked far from "GOD LIKE" and Cammaleri didn't get his first shot to late in the third.

Alittle respect for the Flyers please:cool:

Like I said , it's only game one:D

So, the Flyers came out on a high, and put a spanking of epic proportions on Montreal.

I think game 2 will be a much more normal game.

I enjoyed it thoroughly. And unlike the last series, I was able to watch the whole game without causing goals. I was kryptonite in the Boston series.

Good game for the Hawks too. I'm starting to get sad that the season is coming to an end.

That was a travesty. I was embarrassed to be a hockey fan when that crap was going on.

Molson Canadian made a great beer commercial making fun of FoxTrax. I can't seem to find it online though.....:(

Montreal took the night off..... I think they were completely spent from last series. It's not much of an excuse, because Philly went through the same thing, but I think that's what happened.

I think the next game will be much closer. The Habs better step it up or it will be a very short series.....

The Habs needed this game to adjust. They need to totally redo their entire game plan. When they were playing Pittsburgh, all they had to do was take care of the center of the ice and they had to put pressure on Washington. Against Philly, I would say the biggest threat is the amount of scorers the team has. Everyone on the Flyers will take the shot (I wouldn't be able to picture Carter playing, it would be unfair).

As for the SJ/Chicago game, it was way too close. San Jose will win the next 2, because they weren't expecting Chicago's cycling plays and Todd McLellan will just tell his team to be more physical on them.

Decrepit
Good news:) We may see Carter and Lappy come back for series:cool:

And don't give up on the "Orange and Black" They have alot of grit and heart.:)

Goaltending,Special Teams and Defense... Enough Said...:D

In that order;)

Isn't it amazing how different a team can be in the regular season and then in the playoffs?

It almost makes the regular season seem like a pointless endeavor....;)

Are you saying the Leafs would sweep everybody in the playoffs? :D

I'm a Leafs fan too, it pains me to see them so bad. I am so excited to see Montreal back in the thick of it, Chicago too. Gotta get the Oilers and Leafs in it again on a regular basis.

Surely
I'll make a Flyers fan out of you yet.:D

Well, it's been about 24 hours.

That was a painful game to watch. Slow, weak hits, the Flyers actually looked bored. And all while Montreal was having an excellent game. So that's a bad combo.

They need to kick serious butt tomorrow.

Sorry guys..... for some reason I didn't see that there were new comments in this thread. Weird.....

16-0 next post-season baby!:D

The Oilers along with the Rangers are just disasters. Everything Slats touches turns to........

It's really great to see the Hawks so successful. Why couldn't they have been good when I lived in Chicago between 1999-2003? Well, at least it wasn't hard to get tickets.....

Surely
I'll make a Flyers fan out of you yet.:D

Hahaha Dream on!:p

Surely
My kids are giving me the best brithday present a hockey dad could ever want on Monday. A trip to the Stanley Cup finals;)

One game at a time...
Go Flyers...:D
