Why did the BBC show the guy who blacked his face?

By showing him you've given him global coverage:rolleyes:

I would suspect they wanted to cover all news stories from the GP, and racism in Spain is a big story, especially if it risks them losing their grand prix. Jake Humphrey's choice of words regarding Fernando Alonso's colourful fans was ill-timed I feel tho'.:p

EDIT: Great start by Rubens, but Trulli will surely get penalised for the next race for a preventable accident. Foolish to come right back into the racing line.

Just seems counter productive to me...

I liked Kimi's interview...

EDIT: Oops.

4 or 5 out?

EDIT 2: GO KIMI!!! :p

Oh dear - appears Massa has a drink problem!:p

On a side note, if I was running a team not running KERS, I'd start planning to place it in soon. Vettel has been struggling for the last few races behind Hamilton's Mclaren and Massa's Ferrari with their systems, and with both Renault's and Mercedes' systems working well, I wouldn't be surprised if RBR and Brawn were looking to put them in sooner rather than later. After Monaco of course.:)

Ferrari just can't get anything right these days!

EDIT: I never thought I say this but:

GO ALONSO!!!

Yup, and Heidfield almost did 'im too. I feel sorry for Rubens too; he's starting to have the same kinda look as he did when Schumi was dominating.

Yeah, but he's got to put some effort in. He can be a milder version of Kimi at times.

I'd have pissed myself if Massa had run out of fuel 3/4 of a lap earlier.

That's true. Jenson's consistency and great race pace is winning him races at the moment. I think he looks after the tyres better than anyone else in the field, which helps him a lot with this 2 compound spacing between the tyres.

Me too.

I've just noticed that Rubens is wearing a Duracell Brawn cap. Is that an official new sponsor for the team? That would be main sponsor on the cap surely?

Well spotted!

Maybe a personal sponsor as Button just had a BrawnGP cap

After a bit of detective work, Barrichello doesn't seem to have a new sponsor (nothing in his news feed on his official website). Anyone know how to email the F1 forum? I'll see if they know any more.

feel sorry for rubinho man... and i missed the bit where
massa was running out of fuel!! how the funk did that happen?? i thought they know exactly how much fuel to put to the end of the race... was massa just not being "economical"? lol!

great for the brawn team though...

Just seen the interview in the BBC F1 forum ...

I nearly cried ...:(

He's so disappointed with that race. He doesn't want this to go the way of his time with Schumi.

Surprised no-one's mentioned Webber's little slip of the tongue in the informal post-race chat between him, Barrichello and Button.

Button: "What happened to Massa?"
Webber: "Felipe f*cked up, man... oops... sorry!"

The guy with the camera recoiled like the Lost smoke monster's POV and the sound dropped as he waved an apology... quite amusing! :D

Today was a good and bad day.

Now, I'm a Button fan and have been for some time. I always felt like he should have been with a better team and certainly should of had some wins. Then Brawn GP comes to life. Good win today

The bad day is that I had £5 on Barrichello which was 9/1! So you can imagine how annoyed I was to see Button had changed pit strategy from 3 to 2.

Oh well, better luck next time!

Even Martin gave out an apology.. ah well, things like that happen! Wonder how many complaints the BBC got

yah, i was rooting for rubens also. when he peeled out in front of jenson i knew it was gonna be his day...:(

now the conspiracy theories' all out on autosports.com but i feel for rubens, at the press conf. room he was about to cry.

anyway, a Brawn 1-2!!

I like Rubens, but I don't think there's any preferential treatment going on.
If he hadn't had "bad tyres" at the end he'd have been in a position to win...

I'm ready to see Webber get a win. He always seems a straight up guy, not arrogant, hard working. He's had some bad luck in the past, but now he has a great car and is good enough to win in it. This is his year for a win. Go Mark!

And I hope JB gets the WDC. I always liked him too, and he's taken a lot of criticism, some deserved, much not.

His pass on Alonso was unbelievable!

too late for that i am afraid. At least for this season, that's how it's going to play out unless there is a series technical implosions in button's car that puts him ahead.
But Ross Brawn is not going to risk what is still a possibly close WDC to ensure 'parity'. He is interested in winning, and rightly so.
yesterday's pitstop dance was proof. Once again Barri got the wrong end of the stick. I was rooting for him, but i think his 'place 'for the season is decided. hell still get a win or two, i think, but button is the obvious #1 driver in the tem now.
