Can't really say if the trade was good for the bruins or not when Seguin is still in his rookie year. Lets see where he is when he is 22 and Looch is 26.

Looch?

I think the article was pretty fair in saying that there doesn't seem to be a clear winner in the trade right now, and that neither side may end up being a winner in it. He makes some good points about both teams' timelines, what the state of each team might be in 3-5 years, and what the importance of each player will be to their teams based on those factors.

Tuukka stepping on the ice for anything more than pregame warmups would just be another reason claude julien is a moron and a terrible ****ing coach. Thomas set the ALL TIME RECORD for save percentage this year. Not playing him is blasphemy. He's definitely not the reason we lost.

Well, he gave up some pretty big rebounds in the last few games. He hasn't been controlling his rebounds like he did during the regular season.

That being said, Thomas gets the start. If they go down 3-0 or something quickly, I think the switch will be made.

The goal tending is not the issue. Unless of course they are looking for Thomas to score as well.

1 goal in 2 games doesn't sound to me like the offense is being overly productive.

Milan Lucic?

The switch should be taking Claude and putting him on a bus to Saskatchewan and putting Cam Neely behind the bench for the rest of the season until we can hire a new coach.

Ah, I thought you were calling Kessel something.:p

Thanks for clearing that up.

Does Neely even have any coaching experience?

I guess in your view, anyone would be an improvement.....

speaking of Neely, he was just plain awesome. Even has a Habs fan, I have to respect the way he played the game. I wonder if he'll ever see Ulf Sameulsson at a golfing or simliar event and punch the crap out of him for that dirty knee hit years ago?

not surprised the Bruins are up 2-0 so far considering 18 yr veteran Hamrlik pulled a rookie move and told the reporters they were up b/c they "played with more heart".

sure dipstick...give them a msg to print and put it up on their strategy board".

moron! grrr...

If you watched the first 2 games ... the Habs did play with more heart

they did. 100% agreed, but you never EVER say it publicly.

Never.

Just glad my habs woke up half way through the 2nd period. if they start the game like that, game 4 should be a doozy.

credit thomas for making some key saves. fun game to watch!

Great game tonite ... I was sure Montreal was going to score near the end ... awesome pressure they put on.

Boston will not win this series ... and I say this as a Leaf fan lol

Good game by Detroit last night. Not bad for a bunch of old men lol. It is just me, or does anyone else think that game 4 will be the last ever hockey game in the desert?

I think it'll be the last game played there as well. It's all the talk on the FAN590 and TSN1050 this morning.....it's hard to listen to two radio stations at the same time.;)

The rookie of the year nominations were announced this morning. I can't believe that the Panthers put Grabner on waivers earlier this year. They only had him for 4 months- from June to October. I guess they need to reevaluate their player evaluation system. Good on the Islanders for picking him up....they got a real gem.

Bruins finally showed up and played their game last night. Game 4 is crucial. If the Bruins win we take back home ice and all the momentum going back to the Garden. If the Habs win the series is all but theirs. Should be a great one. The Krejci line finally put up a goal last night but if we want to win the series, Lucic and Horton need to step the **** up.

Getting Chara back was huge even though he obviously wasn't 100%. Hopefully a couple days rest in Lake Placid will help him recover more.

i'm sure he will be, but boy does he ever look gaunt. i know he's always been tall and skinny, but imagine how skinny his face must be without that beard (as thin as it is).

It'll also be interesting to see how the big hits by the larger sized bruins affect mtl's players after a few more games. The habs have the speed, but the size might hurt them. Time will tell. Lucic is one of those players with great ability who can never seem to bring it consistently. It's too bad b/c he reminds me of Cam Neely in terms of bring a power fwd...big, strong, great hands although he skates like there's a weight dragging behind him. Still always room for a player like that.

I'm surprised they've benched Seguin, but maybe watching from the press box will help him see and learn. I still think Boston won that trade hands down. Kessel's been a bust imho.

Look for Paulina Gretzky on twitter-

Would anyone have the balls to date one of these girls? Better question-if Domi or some other tough guy had a daughter in your school, would you have the guts to date them?

I would be worried that the 5 star restaurant I would take her to would not be expensive enough, or that the diamond necklace doesn't shine enough.

oh and if my boys don't actually attempt to give a rats tochas, we deserve to lose.

Talk about rufff hahaha. Well I wouldnt hold it against her someone probably thought it would be funny if they got a pic with her in a flyers hat and they were right! But she probably couldnt even read what was on the hat at that point. I looked this pic up and it said she attends Pitt??? Big Ben has probably had his way with her lol. Anyway... Go Pens!

this hawks cannucks game reminds me of another game 4-sharks wings last yr-we all know how game 5 turned out- don't fret Van-you can do it-just do it at home-you do not want to get into a chess match with the hawks.

Just get out the city unharmed (physically that is), go home and finish the job.

Yikes, the Sharks are in trouble......down 3-0 in the 1st.

What is up with this team?

Surely-I don't even think the best trauma specialists or psychiatrists can fix this team. The only option is to rip it apart and start over. I will be spending the next week coming to terms with that.

For now I will go with this
Gutless, weak, cowardly, emotionless, careless, effortless, pathetic-- thats our team.

Nevertheless, I give full marks to the Kings-I mean, the showed up to play-they didn't need to do anything else.

on a separate note

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=362895

I had no idea that the wings were the team that eliminated the Winnipeg Jets 15 years ago.

That is got to be the most cruel and sickening twist of fate I have ever heard.

I really do feel for Glendale now.
