Its not looking good for the my bruinscharas got the flu or something, and obviously he didnt play tonight. they cant win without him, our defense isn't deep enough.
claude julien is a terrible coach. he has a ton of talent on his roster but he can't make them produce consistently. they just seem like they are outcoached every game, and when the gameplan fails they cant even execute the simplest of ****.
hopefully this embarassment will actually help us in the long run, and we can get some new coaching (and possibly management) in here to take the talent we have on this roster deep in to the playoffs. it's quite possible that julien just coached his last game in the boston garden.
of course, it is hockey, and you never know what could happen. the habs won 2 on the road, the bruins could do it too. stranger things have happened. until its over, im not giving up. lets go bs.
Man I would LOVE to have a ticket to games 3 or 4 in MTL. my oh my.... 'tis no better rink to watch a hockey game then in MTL.
I can't put my finger on what the issue is. They are very streaky but can't seem to answer the challenge of the big game.
Julien may not have the respect of the locker room and I seriously think it stems back from the Cooke incident.
They B's are done. They don't have the heart to persevere.
You gotta love the playoffs!
Like I said, the talent is there on the roster. Claude just can't seem to get them to use it. They couldn't pass last night, couldn't get out of their zone, couldn't gain entry to montreal's zone, couldn't forecheck, couldn't get in front of the net, COULDNT GET THE PUCK ON NET. These are all basics of hockey. If he can't even get them to do this, how is he gonna win a Stanley Cup?
Not to mention our god awful powerplay... pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass. Its like they are looking for the perfect shot. Too bad there is no perfect shot. Put the ****ing puck on net. Thats how you score.

I do and another goalie issue in Philly. Imagine that...

Agreed. The team seemed to be all over the place yesterday.
I've never thought much of Julien as a coach, despite him winning the Jack Adams. Didn't seem like much of a step up from Lewis, and I'd say it was risky to hire him after he was fired by the Devils after a pretty successful season. You guys should have gone with Quinn when you had the chance.
He'll be fired if the Bruins lose to Montreal.
Maybe you guys should go after Bryzgalov in the off-season if the Jets don't re-sign him.....
The Jets coming back to Winnipeg will be awesome ... when will Bettman and the NHL figure out the obvious ... Hockey will thrive in places like Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Quebec.
If it's not American it can't be good.
No TV dollars for him in another Canadian team.

You would have more TV viewers in Winnipeg than Phoenix and Florida combined
Don't preach to me, I'm in the ****ing choir.
Tell it to Bettman.

Much better show from the Canucks last night. Louongo came through when they needed him most. Although they do need to work on staying out of the penalty box.Down 3-0 now, the Blackhawks are all but done, but at least you still have the Bulls.

Boston thought the same last year, but Philly didn't quite think so.
For all you Leaf fans who may be doubting Brian Burke's abilities to make deals right now, all you need do is look at the Canucks. If the Canucks win this Stanley Cup it will all be traced back to the 5 years Burke was GM, most notably the 1999 draft and how Brian Burke pulled off one of the most remarkable deals in NHL history to get both Sedin twins...It will go down as one of the most creative deals and most risky deals in NHL history and here's how it happened...
Burke sent defenseman Bryan McCabe and a 2000 first-round pick to the Chicago Blackhawks for the fourth overall pick. Burke then sent the No. 4 selection and 2 3rd picks to the Tampa Bay Lightning for the #1 pick in the draft. Burke sent the top pick to the Thrashers for the No. 2 and a conditional 3rd. The deal was that the Thrashers would take Stefan, leaving the Canucks to take the Sedins with the next two picks.
Understand?
Yeh....well, it pretty much all of it boils down to the fact the Canucks now have 2 of the top 5 forwards in the game today.
Combine this with a gritty character guy like Kesler (who was also drafted by Burke in 2003)......
An interesting article about how no one is really the clear winner in the Kessel deal. FTR, Cox is typically critical of the Leafs, and would not be described as a journalist with a Leafs-bias.
Thomas will be the starter for Boston, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Tuukka "blame it on everyone else" Rask put in if Thomas gets into trouble.
