^^after watching College Football Final I'm disgusted. The talking heads at ESPN have ended their love affair with Denard Robinson [after his 47th injury in a game this year] and Taylor Martinez [whose WR's flat out stone handed it all day] and now seem to be permanently affixed to OU's jock. Oregon I can understand but OU is a sham and will be exposed soon enough.

@evilgEEk - still pulling for that dream BCS buster matchup of Boise vs. TCU but I'd take Boise vs. Oregon for the fun of it.

Boise will debut at BCS #1 but won't be able to hold it forever
Their schedule is just too darn weak

Love it that the Gators are losing :D
And with the Gamecocks losing, my Dawgs are actually back in the East race

Lot of teams getting exposed and it should make for a wild finish this year
Oregon is a darling right now, but they have too many hurdles the rest of the way

But regardless of how this game plays out, I'm happy that we at least came out ready to compete.

After two consecutive losses and a week off, there was no chance in hell Coach Mack wouldn't have his boys ready to play. Everybody should have seen this coming.

How far do they fall in the polls? And does this bring Texas back in to the top-25?

Nebraska losing at home to an unranked (but still good) Texas drops them to around #18 or so. Texas has a long way to go, point-wise, to get back into the top 25, but they might just do it.

I think in one poll last week they had five points. Five. That's gonna take a huge turnaround in voters' minds.

Oregon I can understand but OU is a sham and will be exposed soon enough.

OU is less of a sham and more just plain inconsistent. Yesterday's game against ISU was, barring one unfortunate lost fumble, damn near perfectly executed. Stoops showed mercy and quit passing the ball - otherwise the point total could have been well into the 70's.

After the fact, Air Force and Florida State both shaped up to be better teams than they looked at the time we played them. Cincinatti was a much closer call than it should have been. Otherwise, they're grinding out wins.

I was at UT in 1997, so I've seen a Top-10 squad get hammered at home by UCLA, just to watch the team give up on the season and end up 4-7 for the year. Different coaching staff this time around, but I have to admit that this season was giving me flashbacks for a minute there.

Well, not surprisingly Minnesota fired Brewster after loss #6.

I think it'd be best for them to hire a hungry coordinator, rather than go after an unemployed big name...

Oregon--good as it is now, has to play at Reser Stadium (home stadium of Oregon State) on December 4, 2010. This game could have gigantic implications for the BCS if Oregon stays undefeated until that game, especially given how few visiting teams have won in that rivalry in recent years.

don't forget that they still have to play at the coliseum in two weeks. everyone has written off usc, but i'd be wary. even though we lost to stanford and our defense played horrible, we still didn't get blown out like last year. i guess that the OU-USC game will be a high scoring shootout and the last one with the ball wins.

New Coaches Poll.

Oregon #1, Boise State hits #2 and Oklahoma leapfrogs TCU for #3.

Texas returns with Virginia Tech.

Don't agree with Ohio State falling further than what 'Bama did, though.

For what it's worth.....

GO TROJANS!

:)

thanks. LOL.

i think bama gets a lot more credit for being in the sec than OSU in the big 10. whatever the case, the polls (and computers for that matter) never cease to amaze me.

This is awful. :(

ESPN.com said:
A Rutgers player injured making a tackle on a kickoff return sustained a horrific neck injury that has left him paralyzed below the neck.

Rutgers coach Greg Schiano says defensive tackle Eric LeGrand is resting in the intensive care unit at Hackensack University Medical Center and will remain there for the near future.

LeGrand had emergency surgery overnight to stabilize the spine.

Schiano, who had tears in his eyes during his press conference following Rutgers 23-20 overtime win over Army, talked to his team around noon on Sunday.

^^^ interesting! I'm not completely sold on OU or Auburn yet, but there's a lot of football yet to be played.

My concern with Auburn is the same as it was with Michigan. When a team shuts down Cam Newton (and it will happen), is there enough talent to keep Auburn going? The answer for Michigan was obvious.

Not to mention the fact that when you have a QB running that much, it's almost simply a matter of time before that guy gets hurt. Granted, Cam Newton is about 80 pounds heavier than Denard Robinson, but it only takes one hit to potentially take a player out for the year.

1. Oklahoma
2. Oregon
3. Boise State
4. Auburn
5. TCU

1. boo hiss, FRAUD!!
2. well deserved ranking
3. pulling for you guys!!
4. def well deserved again!!
5. GO FROGS!!

$5 says that OU will blow it next Saturday at MIZZOU, search your feelings and you will know this to be true! :)

i think boise and tcu have a legitimate shot. oregon, oklahoma and auburn are all going to lose this season.

Ah the man who single handedly completely change the how the big 12 operates.

He is the one who gave OU it offense before being hired by TTU and made it the power how offense that it was until Tubberville took over and killed it.

Leach was co-Offensive Coordinator at OU for one year (1999), along with Mangino.

I don't think he'll ever be a D-I head coach again because he is sue-happy. That kind of constant headache, coupled with the fact that he never won a championship, probably means that he'll be toxic forever.

As long as one of the Big 12 go undefeated they will jump over TCU and Boise.
I have a bad feeling that the BCS will yet again pit TCU and Boise against each other rather than risk one of them destroying how worthless the BCS system really is by beating one of the BCS schools.

OSU, MU and OU still have the chance to do it.

The law suit agaist TTU I do not think is going to have a negative impact on him if he wants to coach again. If anything it is going to hurt TTU as more truth about the underhanded dealings comes out.

You have Craig James (part of the group that got SMU the death penty they are still recoving from) involved and that just smells bad. Adam James has been called pretty poor of a player and it look like he really got a scholarship because of Craig and his dealing with Hence.
I think most other schools know the truth and think the law suit is valid and in many ways support Leach privately.

If he goes coaching again I do not think he will have any problem finding a job.
