Ugh so Texans need a quarterback. Thankful that Leinart at least put some points on the board before getting hurt and our defense won it.

3rd string quarterback for the second half and we still won.

No. You were being sexist, plain and simple. I explained my point further, at which time you threw in the stuff about how you figured I thought the way I thought because I'm a girl and emotional. If your problem was my original post, where I wasn't as in-depth about why I don't think the Packers will go undefeated (which is ridiculous, as the post wasn't intended to be a damned article), then fine. I explained myself - multiple times. But whether or not you agree with my opinions should have zip to do with being a girl. If I'm discussing football in mixed company, I try to be objective with my thoughts. Note a few pages back I voiced my concerns about my own team.

I'm not going to get all pissy if someone says the Patriots won't win the AFC East or whatever their opinion may be based on what they see.

Go ahead and stick to your sexist guns, but you're way off base and showing your cheese-colored glasses.

You and me both.

That's about as insincere a "sorry" as I've ever read, so stuff it.

And here's a piece of advice for you, since clearly you haven't experienced many Super Bowl victories (maybe you were a kiddie when Old Man Favre last took them there) - people hating on your team is part of the deal of winning. Get over it. Also learn to distinguish between legitimate criticism (like my thoughts about the Packers defense) and "hating" - as it was perfectly obvious which of the two I was doing.

I dont mind being called sexist, it doesnt bother me at all. And you girls rooting against the packers just because doesnt hurt my feelings either. What i do mind are unsubstantiated claims that my team will lose and then backpedaling and pulling the sexist card. That being said this is the internetz and i dont let things from the internetz bother me much, so i'm done arguing about this.

I think this years packers are a lot like last years packers, but with more time to gel. Theyre a team with many holes created by injuries, but with so many weapons that can cover up those holes. That said anything can happen in the playoffs, just like the pack proved last year.

Canadian Football League's 99th Annual Grey Cup Championship game about to start ... usually is quite entertaining. Winnipeg vs BC. ... go Lions.

Hmm. Let me see here..

I think the Giants, Lions and maybe the Bears could do it. The Packers give up lots of yards, those three defenses could hold the Packers down long enough for their team to score some points. The Bears rely heavily on Matt Forte, so Cutler being out is a bummer for them, but not a death knell.

I also can't see a team going undefeated all the way through to winning the Super Bowl. There's just too much chance in this league, and certainly not when you're ranked dead last in total yards given up per game.

By your original reply I figured... Girl, Patriots fan... just making an emotional response because she wants her team to be the last undefeated :p

Once again....no. My claims were not unsubstantiated, and there was no "pulling the sexist card." The words are yours, and they're sexist. I never backpedaled, even as your responses made it clear you didn't actually read the thread. You've proven yourself to be a sexist homer who can't bear to hear an unkind word about his beloved team. So be it. But that's not really conducive to intelligent discussion.

I'm proud of the Patriots - they proved to be a mentally tough team today, withstanding the first couple of blows from a desperate Eagles team, but holding it together until the offense got rolling. We've got Julian Edelman playing CB, and a secondary full of back-ups, but everyone is sticking together.

Hopefully we can get healthy (McCourty, Chung, the OL) as we head into the easier portion of our schedule.

Vince Young has played better than I expected, I imagine he'll have a job waiting for him somewhere.

NYG/NO should be a good game tomorrow.

Can you please back up this statement with some more facts, or we're going to have to assume you're a girl and not take you seriously anymore. ;)

And I'm rooting for the Bronocos in overtime, because Tim Tebow is soooooo dreamy and I think their uniforms are just the cutest. :D

While Tebow's 5-1 record is somewhat surprising, it isn't very encouraging for the long haul

18-15 OT over Miami (3-8) winless at the time
13/27 for 161 yards
2 TDs in 4th Q, a 2 pt conversion and a recovered onside kick
Dolphin QB was Matt Moore 22/33 and a higher QB rating

38-24 over Oakland (7-4) Carson Palmer's first start as a Raider
10/21 for 124 yards
Palmer throws 3 INTs

17-10 over Kansas City (4-6)
2/8 for 69 yards
Chief QB M. Cassel knocked out of game

17-13 over New York Jets (6-5) when Sanchez sucked
9/20 for 104 yards
20 yard TD run with 58 seconds left
Sanchez sucked with a 67.9 QB rating

16-13 OT over San Diego (4-7) losers of 6 straight
9/18 for 143 yards
Chargers have no offensive line left

10-45 loss to Detroit (7-4) the only real team they have played

Yes, the only stat that counts is 5 wins and 1 loss, I get that
Yes, I know Tebow is money with the game close and on the line
And the fairy tale will likely continue against a weak Minnesota team next week
Maybe even against the Bears with no QB the following week
They finish with Buffalo with a losing record
And Kansas City with no QB too

The only real game they have left is against New England at home

Denver may very well make the playoffs at this pace
Houston may win the South with no QB either

The Broncos are fortunate to be playing in the weak AFC West and a down AFC decimated with QB injuries

It is a nice story, but I don't think it will have a long term happy ending
I don't blame the Broncos for riding the wave, but you have to be prepared to wipe out eventually

In the 6 games the Broncos have played since starting Tim Tebow, he has the following stats:

2 Rushing TDs
7 Passing TDs
1 Interception
1 Lost Fumble

So while not exactly lighting up the stats, Tebow hasn't hurt the Broncos with a ton of turnovers.

In addition, our defense has really been outstanding. In those same 6 games they have:

18 sacks
6 takeaways

Exactly, it isn't Tebow winning these games on his own, the rest of the Broncos have been playing pretty well too!

Looking forward to, but dreading the game tonight... Hopefully they step it up against the Saints.

Absolutely, the entire team has really been playing great during these last 6 games.

The Von Miller/Elvis Dumervil combo is really starting to show some awesome results as of late.

Agreed. Von Miller is playing terrific and in my opinion should be the defensive rookie of the year.

You are my favorite.

Not a lot of Ravens love on here...that's ok though ;)

I love the sport regardless of who is playing but so enjoyed watching the Ravens pull a little 'set on the Niners.

Well after getting confused over American football...vs what we americans call soccer....
While i'm not a huge football fan, i do watch the giants and jets fairly often. Do you think Drew Brees is underrated? You always hear about the Mannings and Brady etc. but not too much on Brees. Thoughts?
