The Pats D did it. Flacco was a dangerous passer but they prevented him from completions at key times and that is what paid off. Way to go and now they will probably enter the SB favored.

If my 49ers get there, I can't see how they will get past the Pats D as hot as they are now.

Like I said from the beginning

Great teams win and the pats are a great team!

Tebow still sucks

What an emotionally draining game! It wasn't pretty, but it's in the books now. Time to bring on the Giants so we can avenge the Super Bowl loss of 2008.

I don't think I've breathed properly since those last few minutes. I watched the game with some of my Boston peeps here in LA, and I wasn't going to drink...but no one would fault me after that 4th quarter.

My half in the bag thoughts:

Good god. Thank god for that Sterling Moore play, and cannot believe Cundiff missed that chip shot. Unreal, and I am in desperate need of a manicure after that game.

Very, very happy we're headed to the Super Bowl. Brady didn't have a great game, hopefully he's ready in Indianapolis. Defense did just enough. Onwards.

And now I can enjoy the NFC championship game.

Congrats. :D

As hard as it is for me to see the Patriots go to the Super Bowl - they did what they had to do to win the game. Especially in a game where Brady wasn't at his best. The defense stepped up big time for the second week in a row - especially on the final series.

And what a bummer of a loss if you're a Ravens fan.

Where to begin.

The Ravens's defense was pretty much on point today. They were very evenly matched with a very good Pats offense. Those two teams are so...opposite. The Ravens's defense is the same level as the Pats's offense, and vice versa. It honestly did come down to pure luck for the Patriots to win it. At the end, I was sure the Ravens would win it. I'm just a pure football fan, so I was happy with either team winning it. I was leaning towards cheering for the Patriots though.

Now, NFC.
A lot of rain coming in, making it somewhat challenging for the Giants. The delay-of-game penalty right before the half was over could've been avoided, but Eli thought they had another TO. :p. Oh well. Cruz was the big player in the first half, and I'm sure the 49ers are going into the locker room with a mindset of covering him better.

The pass to Vernon Davis was absolutely amazing. He stayed inbounds, managing his feet well, and just sprinted into the end-zone. Good eye by Smith. Other than that, they haven't been playing spectacularly well.

I prefer the Giants over 49ers.

This game is going to be another grinding match of inches and could also come down to last play. Where Brady was held to well under 300 yards and no TDs, I wonder what SF will do with Manning.

----------

At least Brady is humble.

" I sucked today but the defense did it"

Brady did suck but even Brady on a bad day is better than many starting QBs on a good day.

New England got double lucky at the end ...
the TD that was dropped and the missed FG when the kicker was 16 for 16

If not for the Ravens bad luck ... Brady watches the SB on TV

That's a bit much.

The kick was bad luck, but that pass was stripped out of the receiver's hands by Sterling Moore. It was a good play.
