Looks like GameDay will be in Madison for this one. I guessing UW wins by 10 or so. Should be a fun one.

Sad to see we're out of #1 in the AP poll (hey, still #1 in USA Today 😛), but I have to agree that it is the right decision- right now with the way both teams have been playing, LSU is the better team.
 
Seriously?? I thought Nevada had won that game! ..oh well. It's going to be such sweet revenge next Saturday when we destroy them at home. It won't bring back the Rose Bowl, but it will still feel fantastic! 😀

It felt great to get back in Bronco Stadium last night, but we looked sloppy. Moore didn't seem to be his usual self on the first drive. And to be stopped inside the 1 on our first drive was pretty disappointing. Our running game is really struggling. Our O-line is protecting Moore really well, but we can't seem to open up running lanes. We need to get that aspect of our game going, and fast. As good as Moore is, he can still only do so much.

I'm kinda surprised LSU buried OU in the AP rankings. I expected LSU to take over, but I figured it would be a lot closer.

I'm just glad we still have a hold on fourth in the AP. I expected a flip-flop with Stanford in the Coaches Poll.

Yeah Nevada fell apart but I see little hope of TTU winning a conference game this year. Just more proof firing Leach was a mistake.
It is going to be a very ugly year for the Raiders.
 
A&M officially in the SEC
Gets to play LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Miss State, et. al. every year now
With a few sprinklings of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee

A win is a win.
That being said the game against Nevada to me is yet another example of why firing Leach was a bad idea. The new coach is not doing anything. Coming from a great season to barely making a bowl game and this year i would not be shocked if they do not make a bowl game. First time in over 10 years TTU would not be bowl eligible.

Nevada choked when it counted and A&M well they just choke big time. The 4 turn overs in the 2nd half is the reason they lost that game. They had a long list of stupid mistakes made in the 2nd half that caused them loss that game.

I haven't been terribly worried about it not happening (like last year) , but it's definitely nice to finally have it be official. I had a feeling something would happen during the week leading up to the Arkansas game, but I never expected it to come on a Sunday afternoon.

As for our ability to compete in the SEC, I'm really not worried. It will take a couple of years to acclimate (esp. with a new, untested QB next year) but we'll be fine in the long run. Everyone has down periods but it looks like we're coming out of ours now (Saturday's second half not withstanding). If Sherman doesn't get the job done, we'll find someone who will.

Definitely a choke, but I don't really put all of the blame on the players. Yeah Tannehill made a some poor throws, and yeah the defense had some issues with the bubble screen (Judie not playing really killed us there; he's our most physical DB by far) and with getting pressure on Wheedon, but none of that would have mattered if Sherman had stuck to the game plan in the second half and pounded the run. We only ran the ball 8 times in the second half after having over 150 yards in the first half. C-Mike (#33, our backup RB) averaged 10 yards per carry.

I've never been a big fan of a head coach calling HS own played, and I pray that he goes out after this season and hires Chad Morris away from Clemson to come run our offense. The system is very similar, and I just think it's ideal to have a guy up in the press box calling things and let the head coach pay attention to managing the whole game, rather than just focusing on the next play.

Good call....... I can tell you this, being a Bama fan... I am not looking forward to playing them right now. We are playing exceptionaly well, however we have some spots we need to shore up and do them BEFORE we play LSU or it is going to be a done deal for us.

Yes you should.But I would like BSU to come in to our conference so you would have an AQ into the BSC Bowls you beat us back a few years ago.I was priviledged enough to see BSU play in 1975 when I worked for Boise Cascade 1973-1980.Boomer Sooner.

Got that right Bob has a lot of work to do I wouldn't put OU any higher than 10 in the polls right now.Both sides of the ball have a long way to go.Sooner fan for 60 years.

Miss State goes between the hedges today, dawgs against The Dawgs

UGA is about where everyone thought they would be at this point
But Miss State has been disappointing
Hope we can avenge our loss from last year and play well for a change

Bama v Florida and SCarolina v Auburn should both be interesting games

I know it sucks to get rejected by the dorks out west, but you don't have to lash out at us about it. Instead of bashing the state of Texas, maybe you should just be counting your blessings that Mobilehoma is close enough to us that the Sooners are actually able to field a football team.
 
a preview of the national championship tonight! Winner of the Wisconsin-Nebraska game will be going all the way this year. The only two top-10 teams that aren't overrated 🙄😛

This game could be ugly (not UGAly). Neither defense has been worth a darn. But at least the East Dawgs have been good on offense, while ours has been inept. The o-line has been terrible.

And both of those games should be good. Just from a personal standpoint, I hope the Chickens whip that War Eagle.

I really hope A&M is prepared for the crazy good defense in the SEC...

Oh wait - 35 points and 404 yards in the first half. Yeeesh!
