Word is Big East Commish Marinatto is in Boise as I type trying to nail down details for Boise to join the Big East.

Ugh...

I'm not trying to be crass, but really- why would Boise do that? The Big East is obviously losing members left and right and really doesn't have a bright future. Why join that?

What do they have left that would make them eligible much longer for an Automatic BCS bid.

TCU was going to join in 2012 but said nope (Big 12)
WV is leaving to go to the Big 12.
I know they have lost some other schools.
Top it off Boise is pretty far away from everyone else. It would suck for all the other sports big time in terms of travel cost.

By all means, be crass. Because this whole thing is just stupid. Boise State is just so desperate for a piece of that BCS pie that they're willing to jump ship and swim to a sinking ship across the country.

Idiotic.

Boise would only be joining in football, so all other sports would be shuffled off to a different, local conference.

Do not mind him. He trying to cover up for the fact that in over the past 10 year A&M has had a few decent years, several of bad years (not bowl eligible) and two good years and no great years. This year is pretty much shot for being a great year unless they some how pull a win out in Norman which I do not see happening.

(sorry IgnatiusTheKing it was just way to easy)

Huh? I've always been the first person on this board to say that A&M has sucked for most of the last decade. Didn't stop us from owning Tech lately, though.

It's documented fact that Arkansas, Notre Dame and Air Force all told the Big 12 "no thanks" and it has nothing to do with me or with Texas A&M.

In semi-related news, it was nice of Texas Tech to be part of the crew pulling the rug out from under WVU after promising them an invitation to the Big 12. Classy.

I think the best possible option for the Big 12 is to ignore the Big East schools and look west instead. Add Boise and BYU and then Houston (after Missouri leaves) to get back to 12. Realign divisions based on East/West instead of North/South and have UT and OU in different divisions. Give every school one permanent rival in the other division (like the SEC) and rotate the rest of them two at a time.

West
Texas (OU as permanent rival)
Texas Tech (OK State)
Boise St (Houston)
BYU (Kansas)
Iowa State (Kansas St)
Baylor (TCU)

East
Oklahoma (Texas)
Ok State (Texas Tech)
Kansas (BYU)
Kansas State (ISU)
TCU (Baylor)
Houston (Boise)

^^^^ PPTHHPTHPFFTHPPPT!!! :)

So the Aggies play Missouri this weekend. I wonder what group of fans are going to start the SEC chant first?

We have to ask Texas first

Hahaha gold!

Aggie students actually did the SEC chant after A&M scored its final touchdown in the 55-28 beat down of Baylor a couple of weeks ago. Pretty fitting.

The SEC actually spilled the beans a little early about Missouri on their website but have since removed it.

Priceless. :)

And now WVU has officially accepted a Big 12 invite.

Now there's rumor that the Big East is also going after BYU to help form a Western Division.

Forming a good western division is the only way I would be okay with joining the Big East. And we all know my opinion is the only one that matters! ;)

Some how I see the big 12 getting BYU as well. The Big East has to deal with the fact that the Big 12 is going to go after 2 more schools to get back to 12

Georgia 27 - Florida 17

Alright boys. Who do we have with the upset tomorrow?

I think I'm gonna go with USC over Stanford
