Minor thoughts-

Michigan State v. Nebraska: Can't believe Michigan State couldn't get anything done- pretty disappointing and annoying for Wisconsin fans.

Mizzou v. A&M: Sad loss for A&M. Mizzou is a very hard team to play for an 'unranked' team.

Penn State v. Illinois: Pathetic!

OU v. KSU: Saw this coming.

I can handle losing games against quality opponents but I well never be able to stomach frittering away big leads (even against really good teams) because the coach doesn't understand how the college game works. It's time to cut bait.

Great win for UGA.

Looks like Texas Tech is suffering from a post-Norman hangover, down 21-0 to Iowa State (in Lubbock) in the 1st Quarter.

Yes it was - MacDawg will be pleased!

So who would you like as a Sherman replacement?

Kevin Sumlin was my top choice when Sherman was hired and is still very high on my list. Coached at A&M under Slocum, too.

Chad Morris (offensive coordinator at Clemson) is an Aggie and would be my top choice to come in as O.C. if Sherman is retained but forced to let someone else call the plays (ala Mike Gundy a few years ago).

When does a win still feel like a loss?
When the Dawgs can't cover a single kick, can't make a field goal and can't punt worth a crap

The Dawgs beat the Gators and that is a cause for celebration
But we are still far from being a good team

That said... suck it Gators! :D

Tech getting romped at home! Looks like they were overconfident coming in, or Iowa State is going for blood.

Hoping so bad for Georgia Tech to win. I doubt Stanford will lose.

Alright boys. Who do we have with the upset tomorrow?

I think I'm gonna go with USC over Stanford

Who you got?

I am going with Stanford since I can't stand USC

^^^
I see what you did there
You are just rooting for the Dawgs selfishly cause of the help it gives Boise

Go Dawgs!
I hate the Gators™

One of the few times I pull for the Dawgs.... Hate those teams from Florida! :D

Roll Tide.. Can't wait for next week.

yeah and it sucks. Comes on blowing a game like this is even worse than A&M screw ups. Iowa is a give me game.

And like I said fire Tuberville is back. He got a lucky break against OU and OU blew the game. This time they are sucking up bigger than ever. It would not surprise me in the least if Iowa only big 12 win is going to be against TTU.

Boy was I wrong! :D

As far as I'm concerned, when playing a rival - any win is a good win, regardless of how it happens.

Back when I was in school, we called Tech the roaches, because just like cockroaches, all they do is mess everything up for others without actually serving any real purpose of their own. Their entire MO is ruining a good team's season one week, then losing to some godawful team the next.

So unfortunately, you guys got roached by Tech. Join the club - A&M and Texas are frequent members.

One more thing - I know it's Kansas, but our D held them to 46 total yards. Wow, their offense suuuuucks!

Ugh. I agree with Herbie and Mussberger. That was very unlucky for that safety getting that headshot. He was coming in so fast, there's no way he could stop when the receiver started going down.

...but you have to call it.

I think that call has lost the game for USC.

If this goes to OT I just don't see USC pulling it out...

I predict a Barkley turnover....

ORLY?

Fantastic pass by Matt Barkley sends this one to a second OT.

Glad to see Clemson fall.
Glad to see Tech get romped.
Glad to see Wisconsin lose.
Pissed that Stanford won. They really didn't deserve it.

What pisses me off more than anything is that this win solidifies Stanford's rank ahead of us in the polls. Even though our current SOS is more than 60 spots higher than Stanford's.

Absolute bull ****

I really hate college football sometimes.

well Bois needs to get into a better conferences and the Big East is not it. Big East is falling fast and they need to get into a better one if they want to go up in the poles.

I personally would love to see Bois St added to the Big 12.

Okay. We'll get right on that. Let's see. Which one do we want the most?

Oh. Wait. IT'S NOT UP TO US!

That statement is so ******* tiresome. Really?!? You think we have a choice??

The fact still remains that Stanford's SOS was 92, and ours was 31, an yet Stanford is still ranked higher. Why? What have they done to deserve to jump Boise State in the polls?

That's right. They haven't done anything.

Nothing but this bull **** bias for teams that are in a BCS league. It's *almost* enough to make me stop watching. It just pisses me off.

Oh I agree there is Bias towards the BCS league but one could point out that Bois does not get beaten up like the BCS leagues.

Look at UT in 2008. They had to deal with OU, OSU and then TTU in a row. Of course they fell to TTU. TTU had its own string of hard teams that year as well and we saw how that worked out.

Bois never has the same string of teams and their hard games are pretty spread out.

I would love to see Bois St in one of the BCS leagues they clearly belong on them and I want to see how they stand up to that pounding. TCU right now is already going to be a great test school to see how they do in the Big 12. They are going to be dealing with the week after week pounding now.

I know the rumor mill has it that Bois might be invited to the Big 12. Given the choice between the Big 12 and the Big East the Big 12 is a much better fit.

What makes Boise's schedule infinitely better than Stanford's? UGA? Nevada? Toledo?

I like Boise's team. I like Stanford's team. I'd love to see them play one another. Right now I think Stanford would win in a barn burner.

Yeah. I'd love to be in the Big 12, but it will never happen.

And I 100% agree that a team that has faced much tougher competition should be ranked higher. But when Stanford's SOS is so much lower than ours, and yet the idiot humans rank them higher... The only possible explanation is this ridiculous bias.

I'd like to refer you all to my signature. That's how I feel about the whole thing.

I honestly have no idea. But Sagarin has us at 31 and Stanford at 92.

Let's not get too worked up over a poll that had A&M ranked 6th and Texas Tech ranked 15th. These things are all terribly flawed this early in the season (as late as it already is). The bottom line is that, if both teams go undefeated, Stanford will have done it against a better body of work (Washington, USC, Oregon, Notre Dame, Pac-12 Champ Game) than Boise will have (UGA, TCU).

The odds of both teams winning out is pretty slim, so just sit back and enjoy your team winning every week and let things shake out. It's much better than the alternative. Trust me.
