Apple Store now stating 1 - 2 weeks for SSD Order

I ordered on 5/20 and have an estimated ship date of 7/5 with delivery on 7/8. The Apple Store is now saying the same config will ship 1 - 2 weeks from today. Anxious for an update to my status!

Thanks for the screen caps!

Just received a email from Apple telling me my order is "on it's way", I don't know for sure how that is any different from "sent" (which I received earlier)
Still haven't got a tracking number...

The horror :(

Well it would go directly wouldn't it?! It would be weird if it changed to "Might be shipped in a bit" before it went to "shipped". :D
:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

Well I saw some other guys saing it went from "not yet", to "prepared for shipment" to "shipped"; so I was expecting the same....

Anywa, funny comment you made!;);););););):D:D:D:D:D

My first iMac

I wonder if I'll get any work done at all. I've noticed that the beauty of Apple products is very distracting, and I tend to look at them for long periods of time without doing any work. I'd like to see a study on productivity vs. Apple/PC. Just knowing there no whirling, greased bearing device holding my data to be destroyed with the next bang on my desk is enough to induce nirvana. Is this a religious experience, you betcha!

Does anyone have a picture I can salivate over for the next couple of days until mine arrives?

Any of you used the Apple Migration Assistant?
Where did you store your home folder, on the SSD or HDD?

You lucky basterds :D

Totally  on this ... Ran it but it wouldn't work as my SSD isn't big enough!

So I removed my document, music, movies, photos, dropbox and am currently migrating what's left. I don't know how I'm supposed to transfer the rest to the HDD??

I've just got the same email, and also got one a few days ago (Saturday) that it had shipped. So what's the difference between "Shipped" and "In transit"?

I'm just hoping it's here by end of this week, or HULK SMASH!!

Apple assures me that orders are filled in the order they were placed. So, I should expect to see my shipping date improve. ::fingers crossed::

Order placed: 6/8
Est. Ship Date: 7/21
Est. Delivery: 7/27
Config: Ultimate 27 in iMac

Clicky.

basically you put the files for things like itunes on the external, and hold ALT when opening the app to have it ask where to point to. Hope that helps

For some of you waiters (which I still am for a few more hours or a day...)

not that it means too much other than entertainment for the people still waiting, but any benchmarking scores from the people who have received their 27's w/SSD's?

Grrrrrr. Now mine is still showign "in transit," but is now in "NARITA-SHI JP"

Has anyone else had theirs get routed through Japan?

Same here. I also have a new Shanghai "in transit" scan 17 minutes later, but I'm assuming that's just a glitch. There's a FedEx flight to Anchorage that leaves from Narita around the time of the scan: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX28

So perhaps we'll see a new scan from Anchorage in about three and a half hours (noon in Anchorage).

Not holding out too much hope for a Tuesday delivery any more though.

While dropping my daughter off for school ~3 miles away I get the greatest junecloud update ever! :D

Now to wait (patiently)...

Mine's due to ship on 7/19, so I hope to see an improved ship date as well.

It is said this morning that the 27 inch SSD is nothing new and since thunderbolt is too new and my May 15th order -- no word on anytime sooner than June 29th so called Apple and cancelled...Perhaps next year (that now is only 11 months away thanks to this extended wait)--hopefully SSDs are large enough so no internal HHD needed--have had two replaced by apple care in the last three years. Mid 2009 27 inch IMAC is doing fine, especially considering its new screen and hard drive a month ago compliments of apple care warranty with another year left on the warranty. So my $3800 is on hold for next year's upgrade. So next year Iphone 6 (4g) and 27 inch IMAC maxed out hopefully with large sata 3 SSD and all HHD are external thunderbolts.....

iMac with SSD has landed!

I just received my BTO 27" with SSD. The screen is perfect. No yellowing. No dead pixels. And no stray dust/dirt/hair in the LCD.

I could not be happier on my purchase. After being a long time customer of Gateway, Dell and a few other PC vendors over the last 30 years, I don't remember being so taken by the fit, finish and overall quality of a system.
