I'm in love with my new iMac!

It's SOOOO fast :D :D :D

I'm almost fully setup now, but it's all going so so so smoothly. I can't believe how blazing fast this machine is.

LUVS it :D

im still at pudong for 4 days now..? any other imacs sitting around there?

Mine's still in Pudong as well and my carrier is TNT. For anyone who has got theirs in the UK, long did it take from the Pudong and which carrier did you have?

Yes... my iMac is still at Pudong as well, has been there for 3 full days now. I just called TNT and they said it will get shipped whenever there's room for it on a plane = lowest priority. Could take forever for all they care...

Managed to play with mine last night... oo er!!!!

It is so friggin' fast!

I havent tested it properly with a vid transcode yet but I've got a few lined up. :D

Installing fonts; it just does them instantly so I have to double check its actually done it lol.

Even Safari seems 'snappier' hehe I'm not joking either.

On such a big screen the track pad is much easier/better to use than than the magic mouse in my opinion.

I've not timed start up but its got to be around 5 seconds. Shut down is 3.

Copying files is VERY fast too.

Im a happy bunny even if i did drop the whole thing 12 inches back into the box when the handle snapped! I got my bro to hold the outer box while i lifted out the white imac box. It got stuck so I pulled harder the handle snapped, I smashed my bro clean in the face sending him flying backwards and the computer fell back into the box making such a bang that people came rushing upstairs to see what happened. Oh well, everything seems ok though. Apart from the huge paper cut gash on my arm from the cardboard edge on the box, oh and my bros face! :D

Well, I've just called the TNT service, they said that the iMac is in Holland and the "users" site/tracker is not update as is the TNT internal site. And the (my) iMac will arrive the 16 (2 days)

What do you want pictures of?
Nothing really new about these new iMac's but speed, and speed is hard to photograph :D

Perhaps a picture of the iMac next to your unicorn or something, I DONT KNOW! I have a welcoming party for my stuff. Apple offers an experience here!

I'll shoot you guys some pics tomorrow.

Shipped! - to Australia

So excited, the iMac has just shipped! :D :D :D

Can't believe it, ordered May 19, original ship date of July 4th, now shipped on June 14th!

For any in Australia, mine is shipping via TNT. Does anyone know where we can find the flight schedule for TNT from China to Sydney?

should be illegal to call themself "worldwide express"

and it is a shame that apple still uses tnt for europe.
why can't i choose to let me ship my mac by fedex or ups? i don't care if i have to pay shipping, just let me choose the carrier..
ever since i remember, tnt was lame.

still pu-d-ong

Haha I think our two iMacs stand near by :D

But I don't know why they arrive two times at Pudong.

My hope is that they are already at the Netherlands or wherever in Europe but not scanned already due to holiday yesterday.

I called tnt yesterday and they told me its still in pudong. im expecting delivery to stoke on the 15th i cant see how they are gona manage it. i dont see the point of picking it up on the 10th and have sit around in pudong for 3 days. Im sure Fedex would have been quicker

Its arrived!!!

Are you in the UK then and have tracking info from China?

Yes, didn't Apple send you a "Shipment Notification" email? Tracking number and carrier name are included in there. Then just go to the carrier website and type in your tracking number.

I'm holding out a slight glimmer of hope that I might get mine later today. It is "at destination sort facility" in Middletown, PA as of 6:18 am (got there via Indianapolis, not Memphis). Most people seem like they have to wait a day after that to receive it. My only hope is that I also have an iPad on the way, and that was at the same destination sort facility as of 6:09 a.m., and that one is scheduled by 4:30 today. The iMac is scheduled by 10:30 tomorrow. Here's to hoping that FedEx is cost-efficient, and will send them both to the office on the same truck today.

Right now mine is going through customs in Memphis Tenn. I looks like a Wednesday delivery is still a go.

So, for the TNT Express folks like me. Just got off the phone with TNT Express. My shipment was send on the 10th of June and need to be delivered today 14th of June.

The person of the phone told me that there was an delay of 44 minutes. The latest status update told him that the package was on the plane. Kind of strange indeed - but he told me to wait till tommorow morning about an update. If not - I need to call again.

And yes, TNT Express is nothing compared to UPS and FedEx - if Apple choose those for shipping the iMacs, we were playing now. :)

I'm in the Netherlands and I guess I'm not the only one waiting.
