Ordering a bto 27" i7 iMac now in the US takes about 1 month to deliver :D I wonder if you would ever get that machine? .... After 1 month when everyone is getting new models woul be kinda a ripoff.

1,5 days left - almost there. Some how I have a hard time picturing apple releasing all these rumored products...someone will probably be disappointed. I feel pretty sure the iMac will see an update, but I'm not 100% confident yet.

As apple's main event if to show more toys (ipad 7") and the new macbook pro 13" with fancy screen.....I'm almost certain that the imac and mini will only see a spec bump and not a redesign.

If they where gonna have a redesigned Imac, something would have leaked, and we would be getting a event just for the Imac.

Hey! Pay attention, we all ready got a leak. ;) and... own event for the iMac and mini - forget about it. That hasn't happened since 2006 (and that was a small event) and it won't happen again. Even if they made the iMac a hologram machine it's days as a reason for an event is over.

I think only having a single Thunderbolt display at $999 is a mistake which is costing Apple lost sales to Macbook and Mac Mini owners who instead bought Dells or Samsungs etcetera. Hopefully they'll expand the line with more affordable, less expensive model.

If not it's likely because they want to keep the $999 price-point (Apple likes to keep its price-tiers in place) in preparation for Retina displays next year.

The Thunderbolt is not marketed or intended to compete with a consumer who is buying a Dell home desktop, or willing to only pay $300 for a monitor (to play video games or check email).

The inverse may actually be more true. Apple has steadily gained share from the professional market who previously used NEC MultiSync, EIZO or Coloredge displays. The average consumer has no need to purchase a monitor for over $1000 with the capabilities (and to a lesser degree size) these monitors have.

Awkward 'fanboy' comments like this reinforce the resentment from the longtime professional Apple community. I believe it's awesome Apple now has such strong consumer market share, but people could serve to cool it with the narcissism.

If one requires a computer or monitor with certain specs or particular purpose I assure you there's something on the market already priced appropriately.

From reading all of the funny '...if they don't release it by 'X date', I'm buying a PC' and 'they lost MY money because...' posts, Apple would best be served to adopt Dell's business model so everyone can get one built to order like a hot fresh pizza by next week.

I love my Apple products. Each one serves a particular purpose in my professional and daily life. I wouldn't buy one if I didn't need it.

Apple certainly doesn't need to reduce the price or capabilities of a product or shrink a professional level display so one can play World of Warcraft with brighter colors.

Tuesday!

I still don't believe it. It wouldn't surprise me if the iMac came in 2013 along with the Mac Pro.

I've been as pessimistic as you like here on this message board, but I hope I might be wrong and have a new toy on the way for Halloween. That said, we haven't seen a damned thing proven for iMac and we're seeing plenty on iPad, MiniPad, and rMBP-13. So, you know, not exactly Miller time yet.

What are you talking about? We've seen plenty of indications. Leaked image, SKU's, analyst saying it, dwindled stocks - there's really not much more to see that the actual product in the store.

Great News

Friend from Apple shop said he has been told they have to work back tonight to make room for a large shipment (of something) that will arrive just after closing

Now a Mini iPad is not going to take up alot of floor space

But a new iMac, thats something you will need room for

toilet paper

Not if it is a simple specbump.

I doubt we'll she these in store here in my corner of the world until Nov but I'm sure they could start taking orders as soon as they are updated on the changes. But I'm betting if I go in and ask I'll probably know more about the updates then the floor staff.

It happens just about every time with any Apple update.

Yep, got myself a Benq 24" LCD just last month for less than $200, works just fine for me. That said if I has the money I'd get the Apple one for a Mini or 2nd LCD for an iMac.

This calls for a new twist on the Fan Boy. Rather than queue days in advance for a new iPhone, people need to camp outside the delivery entrance of their local Apple Store tonight to check on the size/labelling of boxes in any overnight shipment.

Could just be palette loads of iPad minis arriving for stock. They may not take up much room on display, but if Apple are expecting them to fly out of the door, the stores will need to have a lot of each model.

It's sunday night at you tho isn't it ? If they are products for tuesday they shouldn't arrive until monday night right ? or is the space time continuum too confusing for me to quite get it ^^?

could be a bit of everything, 13" rMBP, iPad Mini, couple of new iMacs for display

John Lewis (UK) - all iMac models are out of stock - I've don't recall ever seeing that before.
